Are you ready to take on a leadership role in product development within Prime Financial Services? As a Product Development Vice President, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy. You will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to support and grow our Prime Finance business with a focus on Securities Financing. We offer a dynamic, collaborative environment with ample opportunities for professional growth, where your expertise will drive significant impact.
If you have a strong understanding of financing fundamentals—including securities lending, collateral management, repo, margin and balance sheet management and optimization—this is the right team for you. You will work across business and technology teams to deliver innovative solutions, optimize capital and liquidity, and drive modernization in a rapidly evolving vendor landscape.
Job responsibilities
- Support trading strategies to optimize capital and liquidity, maximize financing efficiency, and reduce funding charges, with a strong understanding of balance sheet management and constraints.
- Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and optimization, as the securities financing vendor landscape shifts towards integrated, real-time platforms and moves away from fragmented, legacy systems.
- Drive and maintain the product strategy for securities financing, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a strategic partner to business sponsors, identifying opportunities to grow market share and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with external partners to enhance process efficiency and adapt to evolving market and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, presenting product strategy, advising on market structure changes, and communicating developments to stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, prioritizing projects for maximum commercial and risk-reduction impact, and ensuring disciplined execution.
- Protect the firm and clients by resolving control issues, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting process and architecture improvements focused on control, capacity, and risk.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Work experience in securities lending, cash financing, or prime brokerage.
- Extensive product knowledge and expertise in product development, specifically within financing solutions.
- Strong understanding of the securities financing vendor landscape, and the market drivers for its evolution.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment, with special focus on U.S. regulations—including SEC and FINRA rules—that impact financing for U.S. broker-dealer entities and U.S. institutions.
- Ability to partner with business stakeholders to determine business goals and develop products/processes that support those goals.
- Strategic thinker with experience designing end-to-end solutions and re-engineering business and operational processes.
- Strong analytical skills, including process mapping, flow-charting, and data analysis, to make recommendations and drive product objectives.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product development, structuring, or strategy within prime brokerage, securities lending, repo, or related financing businesses.
- Strong understanding of financing markets, collateral management, and regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
