As a Transactions Specialist IV in Trade and Loan Operations, you design and deliver reliable, technology‑enabled services that make it easier for clients to do business with us. You work closely with partners across operations and technology to modernize processes, strengthen controls, and enhance the client experience. Job responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, timely processing of trade and loan transactions in line with documented procedures and policies.
- Own daily workload, prioritize effectively, and escalate risks or issues promptly.
- Maintain expertise in the product portfolio and the tools that support client processing; identify opportunities to simplify and automate.
- Partner with cross‑functional operations teams to research and resolve inquiries and breaks end‑to‑end.
- Make decisions within established policies and controls; apply sound judgment to exceptions and escalate as needed.
- Support performance feedback and coaching for frontline associates; share best practices to strengthen team capability.
- Contribute to projects that enhance client and customer experience identified through escalations and continuous improvement.
- Uphold strong risk and control standards, including reconciliation, quality checks, and complete, clear documentation.
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal partners to provide status updates and set expectations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in trade finance and/or loan operations processing with adherence to documented procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret client operating procedures and instructions, and translate them into accurate processing steps.
- Proven track record meeting deadlines and volume targets in a production environment.
- Strong attention to detail with solid quality control practices and documentation discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate team workflows in an operations setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client‑focused mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritize, solve problems, and make decisions within established policies; escalate risks appropriately.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with trade and loan product lifecycles, including onboarding, servicing, and settlements.
- Experience improving processes using continuous improvement methods such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Exposure to workflow, case management, or automation tools in an operations context.
- Experience supporting client escalations and remediation initiatives.
- Comfort working with metrics and dashboards to monitor productivity and quality.
- Experience collaborating across regions in a regulated financial services environment.
