As a Software Engineer II - Cloud Platform Engineer within JPMorgan Chase with the Infrastructure Platforms team in our Technology division, you design and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality cloud solutions. You collaborate with technologists worldwide, driving technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations.

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate solutions for cloud computing platforms with security, auditability, and observability
• Define and build value-add services using cloud-native principles
• Create technical designs for development and integration of new software and system technologies
• Participate in performance analysis, service capacity planning, and demand forecasting
• Drive technical innovation and efficiency through developing tools and automation
• Research and evaluate alternate solutions to adopt cutting-edge technologies
• Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• 2+ years of development experience building and delivering large systems
• Expert proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang
• Experience in writing automated tests using Python or shell scripting
• Hands-on experience in system and networking concepts
• Experience with Kubernetes, git, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to solve complex problems at scale

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with AWS and cloud formation templates such as Terraform
• Ability to evangelize and adopt service mesh technologies
• Strong communication and documentation skills
