  • JPMorgan Chase is building its new London headquarters, and we want you to help make it happen. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a landmark project that will define the firm's future presence in the UK for generations to come, working alongside a world-class team and leading industry partners. You will drive innovation and best practices in sourcing for one of the most ambitious urban development projects in the firm's history, where your expertise and decisions will have real, lasting impact. We are committed to a culture of integrity, transparency, sustainability, and excellence - and we are looking for someone who shares those values and is ready to grow with us

As a Sourcing Professional on the London Headquarters Development team, you will play a central role in shaping a landmark project that reflects JPMorgan Chase's long-term commitment to London and its communities. You will bring deep expertise in large-scale urban development sourcing, driving best-in-class contracts that balance cost, quality, timeliness, and innovation - while championing sustainability and excellence at every stage. Working with a high degree of independence, you will partner closely with legal, finance, and corporate functions, as well as leading external industry partners, to navigate complexity and deliver outstanding outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop Sourcing Strategy:

In collaboration with Global Real Estate (GRE) and external partners, jointly develop and refine comprehensive sourcing and procurement strategies for all phases of the Riverside headquarters project, engaging best-in-class consultants, contractors, and service providers for a major urban development. Demonstrate agility and adaptability in evolving project requirements and market conditions, including navigating complex supply chain and labor dynamics.

  • Lead Consultant and Contractor Procurement:

In collaboration with GRE and external partners, jointly develop and refine the approach to identification, evaluation, selection, and onboarding of a wide range of project partners, including architectural and engineering firms, construction managers, specialty consultants (e.g., sustainability, technology, cost management), and trade contractors. Bring deep market insight and challenge assumptions to ensure optimal outcomes, leveraging extensive experience in buying soft costs and services for large-scale projects.

  • Oversee RFP and Bid Management:

Oversee the development and execution of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), bid processes, and tendering activities to ensure competitive, transparent, and compliant selection of all project consultants and contractors.
Manage ambiguity and shifting priorities with composure and focus, maintaining transparency throughout the process.

  • Negotiate Contracts and Contract Management:

Negotiate complex contracts and service agreements, ensuring favorable terms, clear deliverables, and robust risk mitigation. Incorporate best-in-class key performance metrics (KPIs), risk/reward incentive models, and manage contract execution and ongoing administration throughout the project lifecycle. Lead difficult conversations with transparency and high emotional intelligence, balancing assertiveness with collaboration and timely delivery.

  • Build Supplier Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, consultants, and contractors. Monitor performance, resolve issues, and drive accountability to ensure project objectives are met. Foster trust and open communication, even in challenging situations, and proactively address supply chain headwinds and cross-border labor challenges.

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders:

Partner closely with the Global Real Estate team, project management, legal, finance, and other internal stakeholders to align sourcing activities with project goals, timelines, and budgets. Act as a player/coach, mentoring others while delivering results directly.

  • Ensure Risk, Compliance, and Governance:

Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities adhere to JPMorgan Chase policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Proactively identify and manage risks related to supplier selection, contract terms, project delivery, and geopolitical impacts.

  • Maintain Market Intelligence and Benchmarking:

Maintain deep knowledge of the UK and global markets for design, engineering, and construction services.
Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions and ensure access to innovative and high-quality partners, with a strong understanding of local supply chain complexities and regional competition for resources.

  • Integrate Sustainability and Diversity Initiatives:

Integrate sustainability and diversity opportunities into sourcing strategies, promoting responsible sourcing and supporting JPMorgan Chase's corporate values.

  • Promote Continuous Improvement:

Drive process improvements and innovation in sourcing and procurement practices for large-scale real estate projects, leveraging lessons learned and industry trends. Remain focused on the bigger picture, delivering value across cost, quality, and schedule, and managing projects with tight timelines under pressure without overreacting.
