As Vice President for VCG Currencies & Emerging Markets (CEM) in Singapore, you will manage valuation control for Rates, FX, and Credit products, focusing on EM currencies. You will drive independent price verification, identify emerging risks, and collaborate with quantitative and business partners to ensure robust valuation processes. This role offers exposure to complex products, senior stakeholders, and opportunities for impactful project work.
Job Responsibilities

Manage the valuation control framework for the CEM Asia desk, including independent price verification and valuation adjustments

Identify emerging valuation risks and enhance methodologies to capture market dynamics

Collaborate with Quantitative Research and Model Review Groups to assess trading model limitations and implement compensating controls

Maintain relationships with Front Office and key partners, providing analysis on month-end results and complex transactions

Participate in projects within the group and the wider Finance organization

Engage in regulatory exams and inquiries

Provide insightful analysis leveraging multiple market data sources through advanced analytics platforms

Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the team

Ensure compliance with firmwide valuation policies

Contribute to the development and improvement of valuation processes

Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and business heads
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Minimum 6 years of experience in the financial industry or relevant field

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines

Quantitative aptitude and keen interest in financial markets and products

Understanding of or training in financial products or derivatives pricing

Critical thinker with sound judgement and ability to challenge constructively

Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize complex subjects

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills

Ability to work collaboratively across global teams

Experience engaging with regulators and auditors

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Advanced degree in finance, mathematics, or related field

Experience with valuation control in Rates, FX, and Credit products

Knowledge of data science (e.g., machine learning), data analytics tools (e.g., Databricks), and data visualization tools would be advantageous

Prior involvement in diversity and inclusion initiatives
