Global Private Bank Early Careers Development Lead, Executive Director
The Global Private Bank Early Careers Development Lead is an Executive Director–level role that is critical to the development of the Global Private Bank’s future Advisors. The position provides the opportunity to contribute to program strategy; manage execution through a team of program managers; partner with operating‑committee members of the Global Private Bank (GPB) businesses to understand their needs; and collaborate closely with HR partners (Talent, HR Business Advisors, Recruiting, Compensation) and other stakeholders (Client Skills Training, New Hire Experience, Marketing, Finance, and Business Management). The ability to work with multiple stakeholders, oversee the end‑to‑end journey from internship through VP promotion, and guide the development of future Advisors is essential to this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Head of AWM Talent to provide critical input into the strategy for the Analyst & Associate (A&A) Programs in the GPB
- Oversee execution of A&A programs in conjunction with the team to ensure high-quality outcomes across programs, including participant experience, quality of hire, development, performance, promotion and retention
- Manage the program portfolio by balancing business priorities and scaling delivery to support GPB’s aggressive Advisor growth strategy
- Represent Early Careers at the GPB leadership table as needed, providing updates on strategic plans and overall program management strategy and effectiveness
- Oversee Program Management team and partner with Recruiting teams to ensure a successful summer internship program experience, from pre-internship activities through conversion to full-time employment
- Drive consistency and define a robust governance model around program management, including ownership of delivery areas, support levels, client and participant engagement, and development, compensation, risk and controls, and other program components
- Directly manage a centralized team of Program Management professionals aligned to the GPB
- Engage with and serve as the primary point of contact for various cross-functional stakeholders in the GPB who have a substantial interest or play a substantial role in A&A programs, including the broader Talent team, Campus and Lateral Recruiting, Client Skills Training Team, HR Business Advisors, Employer Brand, and Business Management
- Build strong relationships with key business leaders in the GPB to secure sponsorship, resource commitments, and participation in recruiting and people management activities
- Be accountable for program management data and analysis that drive key insights, trends and recommendations
- Maintain domain expertise, competitive intelligence, and champion best practices in program management techniques, developmental learning, generational insight, competitive benchmarking, and performance management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years relevant experience
- Financial Services, Human Resources, entry-level program management and/or related knowledge/experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Data analysis and executive reporting capabilities
- Ability to translate the business strategy into a comprehensive Analyst and Associate program management agenda
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with key partners and stakeholders; demonstrated track record of influencing senior stakeholders with strong viewpoints is particularly important
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities; ability to multi-task with demonstrated track record of setting and executing end-to-end project or program strategies
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to assess situations using both qualitative and quantitative factors
- Judgment in managing conflict; solving problems and making sound decisions in a fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of private banking / wealth management a plus
