As a seasoned Investment Banking professional, you’ll have experience driving new business origination efforts, leading the execution of transactions, and developing strong relationships with clients. This is an investment hire, offering exposure to a high volume of deals and robust deal flow.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on transactions across the spectrum of our banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises.

  • Act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals with a focus on Australia, while also having the opportunity to work on global cross-border deals involving Australian clients.

  • Review and coordinate the analytical work of junior bankers to move the marketing/execution process forward.

  • Refine marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact and oversee the creation of financial models.

  • Liaise with other internal and external parties on transactions (e.g., lawyers, accountants, third-party consultants).

  • Lead client negotiations, Q&A process, and management interviews.

  • Participate in business and company events to identify new business opportunities and pitch for new clients.

  • Mentor analysts and associates, assisting them in developing their industry and corporate finance skills.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other related disciplines.

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience working in the front office of a top-tier Investment Bank.

  • Highly driven, detail-oriented, diligent with strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.

  • Strong historical performance reviews.

  • Well versed in M&A, ECM, and DCM with a track record of leading the execution of deals.

  • Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management.

  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Real Estate coverage banking experience.

  • Real Estate transaction experience and proficiency with industry trends strongly preferred.
