Job Description:

We are looking for a new Senior Manager, Source-to-Contract, EMEA to join out team.

The Senior Manager, Source-to-Contract, will ensure that the Regional Global Services Procurement (GSP) Source-to-Contract organisation delivers results in support of the Global Services, One Procurement and Johnson & Johnson business strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business, category leaders, and the broader function. Additionally, you contribute to and/or own the operational execution of prioritized category strategy implementations, sourcing and contracting cases, and other critical functional activities.

This role oversees and manages activities relating to the development of the organization's strategic sourcing plan, from maintaining supplier relationships through executing contract negotiation, authoring and management activities. The Senior Manager, Source-to-Contract, works to identify and address needs of internal stakeholders, contributes improvements to procurement strategies and remains abreast on current market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of individual contributors, supervisors, and/or managers and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.

  • Leads operational aspects of the team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines. Delivers against defined Service Levels.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and company policies and procedures.

  • Oversees in the day-to-day operations of the Source-to-Contract function, including sourcing event management, price and other contract terms negotiation, contract drafting and execution, and stakeholder management activities.

  • Communicates strategically to highlight initiatives, activities, and achievements that bring positive visibility to the organization.

  • Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections.

  • Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.

  • Supports development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.

  • Creates Value by developing strong, value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.

  • Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required

  • MBA or further advanced degree is desirable.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 8-10 years of Procurement, Finance, or other relevant business experience
    with minimum 5 years in a management role.

  • Prior experience of leading large teams in a complex matrixed structure and managing key stakeholders internally and externally in a service delivery environment

  • Strategic mindset. Disciplined data-oriented thinking to be able plan for long term.

  • Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player representing Source-to-Contract and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them.

  • Learning Agility & Openness to Change

  • Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.

Preferred:

  • Good understanding of Sourcing and Contracting processes and Source-to-settle operations at a high level is preferred.

  • Experience in one or more Procurement Functional domains: Sourcing incl. negotiation of commercial and non-commercial terms, Category management, R2P or Accounts Payable

  • Shared Services Industry experience is preferred.

  • Fluency in one other language ((written and oral) for the supported region is preferred.

Other:

  • Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.
