Professional Education Manager, DACH
The Professional Education Manager will oversee strategic planning and execution of Professional Education initiatives within the DACH cluster for Johnson & Johnson Vision (JJV). This role aims to enhance healthcare professional (HCP) awareness of JJV products by developing strong educational concepts and elevating the scientific evidence behind their superior performance. The manager will lead training programs, conferences, and advisory boards while fostering partnerships with key opinion leaders, professional bodies, and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities also include ensuring accurate technical information, managing compliance frameworks, and supporting internal teams in effectively positioning JJV products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Plan Development:
Create and implement the annual Strategic Plan for Professional Education activities in the DACH cluster.
- Product Awareness Optimization:
Optimize customers’ and key influencers’ awareness of the clinical benefits of JJV products.
- Ensure Correct Usage:
Ensure JJV products are used correctly by HCPs through comprehensive training and guidance.
- Promote Scientific Evidence:
Elevate scientific evidence supporting the superior performance of JJSV products.
- Training Programs Execution:
Lead education programs for surgeons and their staff, providing procedure and product training for customers and JJV staff.
- Speaker Panel Development:
Develop a broad speaker panel within the region for peer-to-peer education.
- Educational Symposiums Leadership:
Lead the execution of educational symposiums at regional and national conventions.
- HCP Training Asset Development:
Assist in developing new HCP training assets.
- NPI Support:
Support the execution of new product introductions (NPIs) as they relate to surgeon/staff education and train internal teams.
- KOL Engagement:
Maintain and leverage a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) database to develop strong KOL engagement plans.
- Professional Partnerships:
Foster partnerships with local professional bodies to drive external environment shaping and planning.
- Education Concepts Development:
Develop and implement concepts for technical and theoretical education.
- Surround Sound Initiatives Leadership:
Lead surround sound initiatives at major conferences.
- Educational Projects Management:
Organize educational projects, conferences, programs, advisory boards, and local training.
- Internal Product Training Support:
Support product training and knowledge dissemination within JJV.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with Marketing, Clinical Services and other cross-functional teams to promote scientific evidence supporting JJV products.
- Copy Clearance Process Support:
Ensure accuracy in all JJV technical/clinical information.
- Compliance Framework Collaboration:
Ensure educational initiatives align with appropriate compliance frameworks.

Experience and Education Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Optometry, Ophthalmology, Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or similar.
- Proven experience working successfully in a team and managing project teams.
- Strong budget management, presentation, and communication skills.
- Analytical skills and fluency in German language.
- Proficiency in business/technical English.
- High ethical mindset and values.
4. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications, and Affiliations
- Advanced qualifications in Ophthalmology, specifically cataract and refractive surgery.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Surgical Ophthalmology.
- Experience delivering training and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is between 93,500.00 EUR - 149,845.00 EUR. On top we offer an attractive benefits package.
