Responsibilities & Scope

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for an Associate Lead Data Analyst who will be responsible for building and operationalizing analytics capabilities using SQL, Alteryx and Tableau for Global DPS Strategy & Insights. You’ll use Alteryx to build a centralized data layer and Tableau to deliver dynamic dashboards for reporting. This role requires strong SQL skills, experience managing large/complex datasets, and a solid understanding of data integration and commercial/customer analytics. The successful candidate will translate raw data into reliable, actionable insights and work directly with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.

• 4-6 years of professional analytics and/or data engineering experience

• Strong business communication skills — able to present technical findings to senior leadership and business partners.

• Organized, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-first mindset.

• Proactive approach & Ability to prioritize and support multiple projects simultaneously

• Advanced SQL skills — comfortable writing and optimizing complex queries (joins, window functions, CTEs, partitioning/indexing logic).

• Hands-on experience with Alteryx for data preparation/ETL and with Tableau for dashboards and visual analytics.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex, large-scale datasets and integrating multiple data sources into cohesive datasets.

Technical skills (must-haves)

• Advanced SQL and query performance tuning

• Alteryx (workflow design using Designer, automation, Alteryx Gallery)

• Tableau (dashboard design, performance optimization)

• Data modelling fundamentals (dimensional/star schemas) and data lineage documentation

• Data quality, validation and monitoring techniques

• Version control (git) or equivalent change-management practices

What success looks like (first 90 days)

• 30 days: Onboard to Team, core systems and Datasets, existing solutions & Analytics

• 60 days: Deliver a curated dataset or dashboard used by Sales/Account Management to make a commercial decision.

• 90 days: Own and maintain an ETL pipeline and dashboard suite with automated refresh via Alteryx Gallery.
