Job title: Global Transportation Product Lead Engineer
Current Need
We are searching for a Global Transportation Product Lead Engineer in Limerick, Ireland to join the team.
Position Description:
We are looking for a Transportation Product Lead Engineer to be part of our team. This is a techno-functional role that will have responsibility to lead the implementation, support and evolution of transportation technology solutions as part of the supply chain processes in JnJ. This role will work both with our different internal and external stakeholders. In addition to the functional insight, the role controls the technical aspects of the implementations and its impact to our core outbound transportation (XPS) and Inbound Transportation applications. Leading the team for software configuration and participating in on-boarding initiatives with carriers will be an essential component of the role.
This position reports to the Global Transportation Product Group Engineer of the Technology Services department.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall Engineering and Technology architecture definition, roadmap, and technical decisions for the product in coordination with the Transportation Product Owner, Product Group Engineer and BU Architect. Accountable for ensuring that technical implementation is aligned to the BU Architecture vision, economic framework and business needs

Work closely with the Business Product Manager to define Transportation Product strategy/vision

Lead the implementation of transportation processes

Onboard various transportation carriers towards our systems

Interact with development and support teams
-
Gather and translate requirements from carriers to define, design and develop solutions for our Transportation team that meet business requirements.

Drive development and selection of technical solution options (from the approved list of solutions) and test concepts / potential solutions with users Document, recommend and present systems enhancements and alternatives to meet business requirements.

Drive continuous improvement activities for this area: Lead root cause analysis of major incidents, provides solutions that will increase systems availability and customer satisfaction.

Work on Agile methodologies to Configure solutions in the space like SAP and related technologies as well as to test development/customizations in this area.

Observe technology trends across the industry and conduct research spikes for new capability and innovation opportunities

Be the single point of contact for ISRM, TQ (Q-CSV), vendors, and enterprise platform owners
Minimum Requirements Typically requires 6+ years of relevant experience
Critical Skills

Functional background in transportation processes

Knowledge of supply chain processes

Communication to multiple levels of the organization

Ability to work with both business users as well as technical stakeholders (including high level understanding of ABAP code).

Extensive experience in Agile Development is required including team creation, leadership, product / platform standards, governance processes, and change management.

Experience gathering requirements and translating into a product / platform vision through deep expertise in development, engineering, and UX

Experience leading the selection, build, and integration of platforms including data management, API architecture/design, and Cloud Native technologies

Experience owning products / platforms over their lifecycle in a multi-team / channel context

Understands processes and procedures associated with enterprise applications.
