Job Description:

SECTION 1: JOB SUMMARY

This job exists to handle overall responsibility of Ethicon Minhang of Managing operations related to plant engineering and maintenance to ensure smooth, continuous, cost effective and controlled manufacture of products in support of the business forecasts and inventory goals. At this level, the position has a direct contribution to the development of business and/or functional strategies and typically, responsibility for managing multiple professionals.

SECTION 2: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Under and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

· Direct activities of plant engineering. Partner with and drive supporting from quality assurance, human resources, finance, purchasing, as well as safety and environmental to ensure excellent execution, compliance, and proper reporting.

· Develop the site technology road map and lead a flawless execution to advance the automation and digital transformation and improve the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

· Build strong capability in automation and digital transformation of Engineering function in order to meet business needs

· Develop the site capital budget and maintenance expense budget, lead and partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the capital project plan is 100% adhered. Maintenance expense is within budget.

· Ensure that the machinery and tooling are well maintained, upgraded and developed. Spare parts inventory is well managed. Instrument is calibrated. These activities are all tracked and managed in CMMS system( Computerized Maintenance Management System)

· Manage manufacturing process validation and drive continuous process capability improvement.

· Drive lean/six sigma, FPX and digital certification of Engineering function

· Develop, monitor and effectively utilize dashboards, control charts and operational indicators and take actions to correct those situations which are not in line with established controls or targets.

· Drive identification and successfully implement cost improvement projects (CIPs).

· Ensure that company quality standards are achieved and maintained in the responsible areas, such as change control, equipment installation and validation, maintenance records, calibration records, etc.

· Maintain subordinate’s awareness and involvement in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)and ISO13485.

· Ensure fulfillment of all safety, industrial hygiene, environmental and labor regulatory requirements

· Fulfill all business plan HC, expenses, and other obligations.

· Recommend and implement employee development programs to clearly define their training and raise the associate’s capabilities.

· Maintain effective liaison with other departments.

Keep immediate superior fully informed of all relevancy.

· Conduct internal audits, validation with related department.

· Performs other duties assigned as needed

SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

· B/E. Prefer master degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering,automation or related.

· Solid experience in manufacturing process automation.

· 8 or more years previous experience in engineering to include six years of direct, hands-on engineering management or related. 3+ years in people manager position is a plus.

· Prefer prior experience in medical device or pharma manufacturing with knowledge

· Experience in vision system and digital transformation is a plus.

SECTION 4: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

· Strong analytical, Innovative thinking, communication and root cause problem solving skills

· Fluent in Chinese and English speaking

· Proven project management skills.

· Ability to master complexity and ambiguity in a dynamic environment.

· Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or equivalent.
