What you will do

We are seeking an Associate Director of Product to lead the strategy, growth, and execution of our Mission Critical Solutions portfolio within Open Blue. In this role, you will partner closely with engineering, UX, data analytics, customer success, and sales teams to shape, deliver, and scale these applications. You’ll own the product vision and execution for these solutions, ensuring alignment with the strategic evolution and strengthening the mission critical and decarbonization positioning of the product.

The role combines strategic thinking, operational excellence, customer empathy, and cross-functional leadership to scale mission-critical SaaS solutions that support healthcare, life sciences, data centers, and other high-reliability environments.

This is a leadership role responsible for both portfolio outcomes and people development.

How you will do it Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and own the multi-year vision and strategy for Mission Critical solutions within Open Blue.

  • Translate market trends (healthcare compliance, regulatory pressure, alarm fatigue reduction, operational risk management) into differentiated product direction.

  • Align Mission Critical strategy with Open Blue’s broader platform roadmap and AI strategy.

  • Own the product backlog, incl. epics and features definition, definition of done checking, prioritization jointly with peer Product Managers and Engineering teams, tight collaboration with Engineering on implementation.

Product Delivery

  • Work with engineering, UX/design, and QA to scope, refine, and delivery high value features incrementally.

  • Translate user needs and business objectives into clear epics with acceptance criteria, and priorities.

  • Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, and cross-functional coordination.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Engage directly with customers, partners, and sales teams to understand use cases, pain points, and value drivers.

  • Define personas, workflows, and use cases for compliance and alarm solutions that resonate with customers.

  • Champion customer feedback loops and ensure enhancements and features influence the roadmap.

Go-to-Market

  • Partner with GTM teams and Program Managers to launch products successfully – including release documentation, training, pricing, marketing, customer success and delivery.

  • Own business performance across the mission-critical portfolio (ARR growth, adoption, retention, attach rates).

  • Develop pricing, packaging, and commercialization strategies.

  • Measure product adoption, user analytics, and business impact ARR to optimize features.

Cross-Functional Influence

  • Align with Product Managers, engineering, and UX across Open Blue portfolio to coordinate dependencies and integrated experiences.

  • Support Customer Success teams in translating product value and resolving escalating support tickets.

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Establish strong product management discipline, documentation standards, and product discovery practices.

  • Mentor team members to grow into senior product leadership roles.

  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and customer obsession.

What we look for Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Business or related field.

  • 7+ years experience in product management, with at least 2+ years in people leadership.

  • Experience managing complex enterprise software portfolios.

  • Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values and procedures.

  • Experience working closely with engineering teams.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills with high attention to detail.

  • Self-motivation with a capability of managing multiple priorities and tasks.

  • Flexibility and ability to reprioritize multiple projects and deadlines based on business need.

  • Team-player attitude with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types.

  • Strong consensus building, conflict resolution and persuasive skills.

  • Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time- critical problems.

  • Ability to uncover and define market problems and competitive landscape.

  • Travel up to 10%.

Preferred

  • Experience in compliance, alerts/notification systems, or critical operations software.

  • Experience in healthcare, mission-critical infrastructure, compliance systems, alarm management, or regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with Smart Building, IoT, Energy, Sustainability, and enterprise SaaS products.

  • Experience with data-driven decision making and KPI alignment across product portfolios.
