What You Will Do

As a Union HVAC Apprentice, you will support our commercial installation team on large-scale HVAC projects. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced journeypersons while developing advanced technical skills in a structured union apprenticeship program.

This role includes a company truck and gas card upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.

Johnson Controls takes pride in developing apprentices into highly skilled journeypersons and long-term team members.

How You Will Do It

  • Assist with installation of chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, rooftop units, split systems, piping, and ductwork

  • Work on commercial and industrial HVAC systems

  • Follow Johnson Controls safety standards and PPE requirements at all times

  • Participate in ongoing technical and safety training

  • Collaborate in teams of 2–6 depending on project size

What We Look For

Required Qualifications:

  • Active participant in a 5-year Local Union HVAC apprenticeship program (required)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with mechanical or HVAC systems

  • Basic computer and technology skills

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment

  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
