What you will do

We are recruiting a Trainee Field Service Technician to support the installation of our sensor technology. This is a field‑based role, primarily covering Birmingham and the South of the UK.

During your training period, you will be required to travel UK‑wide, including regular overnight stays away from home. You will work mainly on customer sites and must be flexible, as working hours include shift patterns with early morning and late finishes, depending on project requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who is practical, technically minded and keen to build a career in field services.

How you will do it

• Assist with the installation and testing of sensor technology
• Prepare and install hardware on customer sites
• Review floor plans to determine equipment requirements
• Maintain accurate Excel‑based installation records
• Complete on‑site system testing
• Document all work in line with company standards

What we are looking for

• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home
• Flexibility to work early and late shift patterns
• Good IT skills, including use of Excel
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Confident communicator with customers and colleagues
• Physical ability to carry out installations, including working at height using ladders, bending and working under desks
