What you will do

At Provincial Sprinkler, we specialize in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection sprinkler systems — but our work goes far beyond systems and specifications.

We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join our team in Cork.

How you will do it

  • Coordinate and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.

  • Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.

  • Administrative Support, keeping records, time-sheets, goods inwards sheets, goods returns, checking deliveries etc.

  • Drive productivity to ensure we meet contractual milestone dates and programme deadlines.

  • Report to and support the Operations Manager to ensure smooth completion of project.

  • Update senior management, clients and directors on the progress of the project.

  • Direct and Manage personnel and subcontractors.

  • Manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.

  • Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Operations Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.

  • Materials Management: Liaising with Site manager and Purchasing Manager to ensure correct specification, quality and quantity of materials are on site as and when required, checking all deliveries for same.

  • Assist site manager in the supervision, monitoring and management of operatives, both direct and subcontractors.

  • Health & Safety; Assist in induction of site operatives, assist in carrying out H&S audits, monitor and manage adherence to PPE requirements.

What we look for

  • Minimum 3 preferred 5 years’ experience in construction in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • Previous experience working in the fire suppression industry desirable but not essential.

  • Experience of managing projects from commencement to completion.

  • Mechanical Engineering background essential, piping experience.

  • Ability to prioritise workload/excellent time management.

  • Ability to work on own initiative.

  • Strong IT skills, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to view 3D design package to co-ordinate works.

  • Career minded, energetic and enthusiastic.

  • Strong communication skills.
