About this opportunity:

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of the Systems Operations Business across VIC/ SA. The role is accountable for leading the operations team to deliver projects from sales handover through to site delivery and commissioning, with full ownership of financial forecasting,

margin performance, customer outcomes, and delivery. This role will work closely with the Sales team to develop and execute strategies and initiatives and deliver key priorities to maximise overall impact and achieve target results.

About the role:

  • Lead, coach and develop the Systems operations team, driving accountability, capability development and performance management.

  • Own the Sales-to-Operations handover process, ensuring scope, risk, margin and delivery commitments are clearly defined and governed.

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of all Systems projects including order booking, engineering, site execution and commissioning activities.

  • Provide operational leadership for Systems projects, managing delivery strategy, risk, and execution.

  • Full accountability for WIP, P&L, revenue, gross margin and cash performance of the Victoria and South Australian Systems business.

  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial forecasting, including outlook, risks and opportunities, and recovery actions.

  • Consolidate MTD/QTD/YTD performance across backlog, orders, execution margin and cost-to-complete.

  • Drive operational KPIs including executed margin, labour utilisation, warranty recovery, cash collection and on-time delivery.

  • Ensure DOA, governance, safety, and compliance requirements are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships and act as escalation point for delivery or commercial issues.

About you:

  • Extensive experience in Controls and Security operations, project delivery or engineered systems environments.

  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary operational teams.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen including forecasting, margin management and WIP control.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects across verticals including commercial, data centers, healthcare.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI and enterprise reporting systems.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-value project environment.
