IT Business Analyst – AI Products (APAC IT)

The **IT Business Analyst – AI Products (APAC)**plays a critical role at the intersection of global AI products and APAC business demand, translating regional business needs into consumable product requirements, enabling adoption, and ensuring value realization within the boundaries of global AI platforms and standards.
Role Purpose
The IT Business Analyst (AI Products) represents APAC business and IT interests within the global AI product ecosystem.The role focuses on use‑case shaping, product backlog contribution, regional enablement, and adoption, rather than building AI platforms or models.
This role ensures that:
- APAC business problems are clearly articulated and prioritized into global AI product backlogs
- Global AI products are correctly localized, configured, and adopted in APAC
- Benefits, risks, and operational impacts are well understood and managed at regional level
Key Responsibilities
1.
APAC AI Demand & Use Case Ownership:
- Act as the liaison for APAC business demand related to global AI products.
- Partner with APAC business functions (Finance, Commercial, Operations, Shared Services, etc.) to:Identify AI‑suitable business problems
- Define clear problem statements, successful metrics, and expected business value
- Shape APAC AI use cases into standardized intake artifacts aligned with global AI product intake processes.
Focus is on problem framing and value clarity, not solution design.
2. Product Backlog Contribution (Global AI Products)
- Translate APAC use cases into product‑ready requirements (epics, features, user stories) for Global AI product teams.
- Clearly articulate:Regional functional needs
- Data availability and constraints
- Localization or regulatory considerations
- Adoption and change impacts
- Act as APAC voice in global backlog prioritization discussions, providing data‑driven justification based on value and scale.
3.
Regional Enablement & Localization:
- Work with Global AI product teams to ensure AI products are deployable in APAC environments, including:Business process alignment
- Data readiness and mapping
- Integration touchpoints with regional systems
- Coordinate APAC‑specific configuration, rollout sequencing, and dependency management.
- Ensure global AI solutions fit APAC operating realities without deviating from global standards.
4. Adoption, Change & Value Realization
- Own APAC adoption planning for AI products, including:User journey definition
- Training and enablement requirements
- Change management and communication
- Define and track value realization KPIs (e.g., time saved, productivity uplift, quality improvement).
- Collect structured feedback from APAC users and feed insights back to Global AI product teams for continuous improvement.
5. Governance & Risk Alignment (Regional Lens)
- Ensure APAC AI use cases comply with global AI governance, including:Approved AI platforms and tools
- Security, privacy, and risk requirements
- Support regional risk assessment by documenting:Data sources and sensitivities
- Human‑in‑the‑loop controls
- Operational support and escalation models
- Act as the regional control point, not the policy owner.

Stakeholder & Product Partner Management:
- Maintain strong working relationships with:
Global AI Product Managers:
- Global AI Engineering teams
- APAC IT Business Partnering Team
- APAC Business Leaders
- Communicate clearly across time zones and cultures, ensuring alignment on:Scope
- Priorities
- Dependencies
- Release expectations

Required Capabilities & Experience
Core BA / Product Skills
- Strong experience in Business Analysis within product or platform‑based IT models
- Proven ability to frame ambiguous business problems into structured requirements
- Experience working with global product teams and regional stakeholders
AI / Digital Context
- Hands‑on experience supporting AI, automation, analytics, or digital products
- Solid conceptual understanding of AI solution lifecycles (without needing to code)
- Ability to assess AI value, risk, and adoption impact from a business perspective
APAC Context
- Experience working across multiple APAC countries and cultures
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in matrix organizations
Success Measures (First 12 Months)
- APAC AI use cases consistently enter global AI product backlog with clear value articulation
- Improved adoption and measurable benefits from global AI products in APAC
- Reduced rework caused by unclear regional requirements or adoption gaps
- Strong trust established between APAC IT and Global AI organization
What we look for:
- At least 3~5 years of IT management experience with primary focus of AI & Data Analytics
- ERP knowledge would be a plus especially for SAP
- Experience on leading business process re-engineering projects leveraging lean-six sigma or recognized process simplification methodology
- Knowledge in business process and IT application with experience of leading a team through detailed process development, planning, reporting, and tracking, especially managing user's expectations
- Knowledge and experience partnering with both business stakeholders and IT professionals
- Knowledge to build and manage IT- business relationship, facilitation, communication, and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work with large cross-functional teams
- Ability to identify opportunities for business value and process improvement, communicate strategies, and champion adoption to achieve desired results
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and fully understand and adopt JCI values and leadership model in daily management work.
- Experience in sizeable multinational corporations preferred. Ability to manage multiple regional projects effectively
- Excellent knowledge on IT solutions, new technologies and understand technology trends
- Good mix of technical/IT consulting and business background. Positive, collaborative
and solution-oriented attitude - Strong understanding in business related KPIs and analytic reporting

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 5-7 years or more experience in IT management leading or supporting corporate functions, particularly in Finance.
- 2-3 years or more business partnership experience with exposure to senior management
