Overview

Highly motivated and results-driven Jira Specialist with over 5+years of hands-on experience administering and optimizing Atlassian ecosystems (Jira, Confluence, and plugins). Proven ability to lead small-to-medium scale initiatives independently, driving platform enhancements, workflow efficiency, and automation adoption in fast-paced environments.

Experienced in configuring complex workflows, permission schemes, and custom fields, while leveraging JQL, automation rules, and integrations (including SDLC tools like Git) to improve productivity and traceability. Adept at identifying process gaps, designing scalable solutions, and delivering measurable improvements without heavy supervision.

Strong track record of owning initiatives end-to-end from requirement gathering and design to implementation and user training while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Passionate about continuous improvement, Agile best practices (Scrum/Kanban), and enabling teams through structured governance, dashboards, and actionable reporting insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Administration: Manage Jira projects, user permissions, security schemes, and global configurations.

• Workflow Customization: Design and implement custom workflows, screen schemes, permission Schemes, issue types, and fields for different project templates.

• Automation & Integration: Build automations to scale processes and integrate Jira with other operational and engineering tools to enhance productivity and traceability. Experience with Agile methodologies and integrating JIRA with SDLC tools like Git

• Reporting & Analytics: Develop custom dashboards, JQL (Jira Query Language) filters, and reports to provide leadership visibility into project metrics.

• User Training & Support: Provide technical support, resolve platform issues, create documentation/user guides and coach teams on Agile best practices

• System Maintenance: Perform upgrades, manage user licenses and oversee third party plugin installations** Essential Qualifications**

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Jira administrator or Atlassian platform specialist.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Jira Query Language (JQL), REST APIs, and automation engines. Experience with scripting (Groovy/Java) is required.

• Methodology Knowledge: Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and software development lifecycles (SDLC).

• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement, and the capacity to train
