What You Will Do

Service Engineer is a key role reporting directly to Ops Team Leader/Field Line Manager.

As a key member of this team, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle of fire detection systems across client sites, ensuring they operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with local and international standards. Your work will span installation, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. You will also act as a technical resource for customers, providing guidance, system insights, and on‑site support when issues arise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Programming, configuring, and commissioning Zettler fire alarm systems,FAST2000 panels, and Xtralis VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems.
  • Performing routine and corrective maintenance on fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Conducting system diagnostics, fault analysis, and root‑cause troubleshooting.
  • Executing site acceptance tests (SAT), functional tests, and system upgrades.
  • Execution of preventive and corrective maintenance program of each system as per the approved schedule.
  • Preparing service reports with checklist, documentation, and compliance records.
  • Coordinating with project/maintenance teams, contractors, and end users to ensure smooth system handover.
  • Responding to emergency service calls and providing timely technical support.
  • Ensuring all work aligns with NFPA, civil defense, and manufacturer standards.

How You Will Do It

You will combine technical expertise with disciplined field practices to deliver reliable service and strong customer confidence. Your approach will emphasize accuracy, safety, and proactive communication.

You will succeed by:

  • Applying deep programming knowledge of Zettler, FAST2000, and VESDA systems to configure devices, loops, cause‑and‑effect logic, and networked panels.
  • Using diagnostic tools, software interfaces, and testing equipment to validate system performance.
  • Following structured workflows for commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining clear documentation for every intervention, including logs, test sheets, and configuration backups.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, HSE, and project teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Managing time effectively to handle multiple service calls and scheduled maintenance visits.
  • Upholding strict safety practices and ensuring compliance with local authority requirements.

What We Look For

We’re seeking a hands-on engineer with strong technical depth and a commitment to system reliability and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings both experience and initiative.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Electrical/Electronics
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Extensive programming expertise in:** Zettler fire alarm systems**
  • FAST2000 fire alarm systems
  • Xtralis VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems
  • Strong understanding of fire detection principles, NFPA standards, and civil defense regulations.
  • Knowledge in Public Addressing and Voice Evacuation systems
  • Basic knowledge in Fire Fighting systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, loop diagrams, and cause‑and‑effect matrices.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication skills for client interaction and reporting.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
  • Proactive, Independent and open minded

Preferred attributes:

  • Manufacturer certifications for Zettler, VESDA, or similar systems.
  • Experience in large‑scale commercial, industrial, or critical‑infrastructure projects/maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and manage emergency callouts.
