Site Supervisor – Teesside (Static Site)

Are you an experienced supervisor with strong mechanical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service? Johnson Controls is looking for a Site Supervisor to join our dedicated team at a key static site in Teesside. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with advanced fire suppression technologies in a highly regulated environment where safety, reliability, and professionalism are paramount.
About the Role
As a Site Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of on-site engineers and subcontractors, ensuring the effective delivery of mechanical fire suppression services across the site. You’ll oversee preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and remedial works on a range of fire detection and gas suppression systems, including:

Conventional and addressable fire detection systems
-
Networked and graphical fire alarm systems
-
Gas extinguishing systems (e.g., Argonite, CO₂, Inergen, Novec)
-
Mechanical fire suppression equipment and fire extinguishers

Key Responsibilities
-
Lead and support engineers and subcontractors on site
-
Deliver maintenance, servicing, and repair activities across fire detection and gas suppression systems
-
Assist with estimating, integrity testing, commissioning, and client training
-
Monitor subcontractor performance and manage site documentation
-
Conduct safety and quality audits, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards
-
Report near misses and H&S issues promptly
-
Maintain daily work diaries and provide weekly updates
-
Promote Johnson Controls’ culture of inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment

Build strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
Essential
-
Experience with gas suppression systems
-
Mechanical fire suppression experience
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
Strong people management abilities with experience supervising teams
-
Proactive approach to unexpected situations and problem-solving
-
Ability to inspire, influence, and build strong working relationships

Previous supervisory experience
