Johnson Controls Industrial Refrigeration systems work behind the scenes to help customers meet the demands of critical processes. Our innovative refrigeration equipment and gas compression technologies help maintain optimal and safe temperature conditions for refrigerated food and beverages, as well as for a wide range of industrial process solutions operating at peak performance, chilling processes, air conditioning, etc.

What you will do

Within the Pre-Sales team of the Engineering Department of the HVAC & Refrigeration Division in Southern Europe, you will prepare technical and commercial proposals for assigned HVAC and industrial refrigeration opportunities for industries such as food & beverage, oil & gas, petrochemical and industrial heat pump applications in the Italian market. You will work in close coordination with the Sales organization, acting as a key technical partner to support sales strategy and opportunity development.

How you will do it

• Understand the technical scope of each project assigned by the Sales team.
• Define the technical solution and develop the technical-commercial proposal.
• Provide technical input to support market positioning and competitive differentiation of proposed solutions.
• Preliminary HVAC and/or industrial refrigeration system design including equipment selection, basic P&ID design, piping calculations and layouts, valves, automation systems and electrical components.
• Prepare technical offer documentation and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Support basic engineering activities once the quotation becomes an order.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical or Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
• Alternatively, a technical diploma in Thermal or Fluid Systems.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Familiar with MS Office (Excel, word, etc)
• Proven experience in industrial refrigeration, HVAC or industrial fluid-mechanical systems in a similar role.
• Knowledge of European and Italian regulations applicable to industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Experience with industrial refrigeration systems using NH3 (R-717) and/or CO2 refrigerants.
• Knowledge of suppliers within the industrial refrigeration market.
• Additional training or postgraduate studies related to refrigeration or HVAC.
