We are looking for a Purchasing Lead:

What you will do:

The Purchasing Leader will oversee all aspects of material delivery performance, inventory management, and logistics while ensuring compliance with Johnson Controls Manufacturing System (JCMS) standards. This role is crucial in implementing processes that enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness within the supply chain.

How you will do it:

  • Manage production support needs, expediting materials, setting priorities, and addressing supply issues to meet customer demands with minimal costs.
  • Ensure on-time delivery targets are achieved while maintaining inventory levels that align with operational goals.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning and Procurement teams to implement material cost reduction strategies.
  • Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts and physical inventories, while managing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinate transportation activities for inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring compliance with safety standards and efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain department KPIs in line with JCI targets, focusing on on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and transportation execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management, warehouse efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.

What we look for: Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in material management within warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with logistics, inventory control, and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Management experience.
