Enterprise RTR Finance Lead - temporary

The Enterprise RTR Finance Lead is responsible for leading Record‑to‑Report (RTR) process rationalization, simplification, harmonization, and governance at the enterprise level as part of the ERP transformation program.

This role partners closely with the ERP RTR Director, PMO Manager – Enterprise, and the RTR Global Process Owner (GPO) to design future‑state RTR process models, establish governance frameworks, and support policy and process changes as required.

The role serves as a finance and accounting transformation leader, responsible for driving RTR initiatives, managing internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring global consistency, scalability, and compliance across finance processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the enterprise finance transformation program for RTR by defining and executing a clear vision, strategy, guiding principles, scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with project leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Drive key decisions through appropriate governance bodies related to project scope, dependencies, prioritization, and timing.

  • Lead and contribute to the design of future‑state, end‑to‑end RTR processes for global finance across all cycles, geographies, and reporting jurisdictions.

  • Ensure RTR processes align with SAP S/4HANA and Oracle Fusion target models, emphasizing simplicity, standardization, scalability, and automation.

  • Identify, document, and benchmark business scenarios requiring exceptions or specific processes.

  • Partner with the RTR Global Process Owner to assess enterprise finance processes for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance; identify gaps and improvement opportunities.

  • Recommend and support policy, procedure, and system changes, including updates to operational documentation and process guidebooks.

  • Play a key role in ERP implementation by working closely with business unit project teams, implementation partners, and cross‑functional finance workstreams (RTR, PTP, OTC).

  • Provide expert recommendations and drive critical decisions to ensure successful ERP delivery and adoption.

  • Support the rollout of edge applications (e.g., Manual Journal Entry Governance tools, Enterprise Account Reconciliation tools) from an RTR functional perspective, including change management activities.

  • Support enterprise finance systems implementation strategies, including:

  • Global business requirements collection and validation

  • User story and use case definition

  • User acceptance testing (UAT) preparation and execution

  • Training support from an RTR process perspective

  • Partner with Finance leadership and Shared Service Centers to define and execute effective change management plans that ensure adoption of new RTR capabilities.

  • Participate in enterprise business transformation initiatives and support execution and transition plans related to ERP‑driven and ad‑hoc RTR initiatives.

  • When required during transition periods, act as Controller or Accounting Manager for in‑scope processes or ledgers, including stabilization and transition of ownership to final process owners.

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting

  • Multiple years of hands‑on experience in financial accounting and controlling

  • Experience with enterprise performance management (EPM) platforms, with One Stream experience strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience working with ERP global templates (SAP and/or Oracle preferred)

  • Experience in global or regional finance shared services environments

  • Strong understanding of RTR processes, controls, and compliance requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and /or finance
  • CPA preferred or experience working in controllership functions
