OT Implementation Consultant

As an OT Implementation Consultant at JLL, you will serve as a deep technical specialist responsible for bridging the gap between design intent and on-site execution. You will oversee subsystem delivery, integration, commissioning, and performance validation across complex smart city environments, ensuring that operational technology systems are implemented to specification and perform as intended.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in one or more specialized domains (e.g., BMS, SCADA, ELV, ICT networks, IoT platforms, command & control systems, utilities automation), ensuring successful delivery from design through commissioning

• Critically review and enhance templated technical specifications, ensuring constructability, integration feasibility, cybersecurity robustness, and operational readiness

• Translate IT/OT design methodologies into construction-aligned delivery processes that contractors and vendors can effectively execute

• Oversee contractors, vendors, and installation teams to ensure fidelity between approved design documentation and installed systems

• Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) processes, validating system functionality, performance, and compliance with specifications

• Manage interoperability validation activities, ensuring subsystems integrate successfully with broader enterprise platforms and smart city infrastructure

• Coordinate commissioning activities and handover processes, verifying system readiness for operational use

• Identify and resolve technical issues during implementation, working collaboratively with design teams, contractors, and client representatives

• Document as-built configurations, system changes, and lessons learned throughout the implementation lifecycle

• Support the validation of integration protocols, communication standards, and data interfaces across multiple subsystems

• Act as client's technical representative oversight contact, providing regular updates on implementation progress, risks, and technical challenges

• Collaborate with other OT Implementation Consultants on cross-system integration activities and shared technical challenges

Your Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in OT system implementation, commissioning, or technical delivery roles across infrastructure, buildings, utilities, or smart city projects

• Deep technical expertise in one or more OT domains: BMS, SCADA, ELV systems, ICT networks, IoT platforms, command & control systems, or utilities automation

• Strong understanding of integration protocols, communication standards, and interoperability requirements (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, OPC, MQTT)

• Proven experience managing FAT/SAT processes and commissioning activities for complex OT systems

• Ability to critically review technical specifications and identify constructability, integration, or operational issues

• Experience working at the interface between design teams and construction delivery, translating technical requirements into executable work packages

• Knowledge of cybersecurity considerations for OT systems and implementation of security controls

• Demonstrated ability to oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring quality and compliance with technical standards

• Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities

• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience documenting technical systems, producing as-built drawings, and maintaining configuration records

• Self-motivated with ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related discipline), Information Technology, or related technical field

• Relevant technical certifications in specific OT domains (e.g., BMS, SCADA, networking) are desirable
