Assistant Facility Manager

Position Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Assistant Facility Manager
  • Security Services to oversee and manage comprehensive security operations at our manufacturing facility in Bangalore. This role is ideal for ex-servicemen with proven leadership experience and a strong understanding of manufacturing unit security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations Management

  • Supervise daily security operations including access control, surveillance systems, and patrol activities across the manufacturing facility
  • Manage security personnel deployment, shift scheduling, and performance monitoring
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities
  • Ensure compliance with all security protocols, safety regulations, and company policies

Manufacturing Facility Security

  • Implement and maintain security measures specific to manufacturing environments including perimeter security, material gate management, and asset protection
  • Coordinate security protocols for incoming/outgoing materials, vehicles, and personnel
  • Oversee visitor management systems and contractor access procedures
  • Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and maintain incident documentation

Emergency Response & Crisis Management

  • Develop and implement emergency response procedures for fire, medical emergencies, and security breaches
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required
  • Lead incident investigation processes and prepare detailed reports
  • Conduct regular emergency drills and training sessions

Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and mentor security staff to maintain high standards of performance
  • Conduct regular briefings and performance reviews
  • Foster a culture of vigilance, integrity, and professionalism within the security team

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with security service providers, facility management teams, and external agencies
  • Coordinate with manufacturing operations teams to ensure seamless security integration
  • Maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities and compliance bodies

Required Qualifications

Essential:

  • Retired or veteran from Armed Forces, Paramilitary Forces, or Central Police Organizations
  • Minimum 5-7 years of total experience in manufacturing facility security or facility management
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing unit security requirements including material handling, asset protection, and industrial safety protocols
  • Knowledge of security systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, and intrusion detection
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and crisis management abilities
  • Strong communication skills in English and local languages (Kannada preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and security management software

Preferred:

  • Prior experience managing security operations in manufacturing, industrial, or logistics facilities
  • Certification in Industrial Security Management, Fire Safety, or First Aid
  • Knowledge of ISO standards related to security and safety management
  • Experience with electronic security systems and surveillance technology
