Position Overview

This hybrid role combines account financial operations with strategic finance business partnering. You will serve as a dedicated finance partner to Portfolio Services client accounts, managing transactional finance activities while providing strategic financial guidance to support business decisions and account growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Account Financial Operations Management:

Lead financial operations for assigned accounts, including intercompany agreement management, billing cycles, revenue recognition, labor cost allocation, pipeline tracking, and other critical transactional finance processes. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company financial policies and procedures.

• Financial Planning & Analysis:

Execute monthly financial close processes, develop forecasts, and prepare annual budgets. Analyze variances, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive account performance and profitability.

• Stakeholder Reporting & Analysis:

Generate comprehensive financial reports, performance dashboards, and variance analysis for both account teams and finance leadership. Translate complex financial data into clear insights that support strategic decision-making and account management.

• Strategic Business Partnership:

Collaborate closely with account teams to provide financial guidance on portfolio decisions, deal structuring, and service delivery. Participate in account planning discussions, support client deliverables, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance account financial performance.

• Cross-Functional Integration:

Report directly to the Senior Finance Director while fully embedding within Portfolio Services operations. Work seamlessly across our three integrated service lines—Transaction Management, Lease Administration, and Consulting—utilizing our enterprise financial systems and collaborative processes.

Qualifications & Success Factors

• Professional Experience:

Background in accounting, finance operations, or financial planning and analysis, preferably with exposure to professional services, client account management, or portfolio management environments. Real estate or corporate services experience is beneficial but not required.

• Technical Competency:

Strong command of financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with revenue recognition principles, cost allocation methodologies, and budgeting processes. Experience with enterprise financial planning systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms) is beneficial.

• Adaptability & Independence:

Comfortable operating in matrix reporting structures with multiple stakeholders. Self-directed and resourceful with the ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems independently, and maintain consistent quality without direct oversight.

• Communication & Partnership:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management capabilities, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving across diverse teams.

• Work Approach:

Positive, proactive mindset with high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proven ability to build relationships, work through challenges constructively, and contribute effectively to team objectives.
