Position Overview

Lead and manage comprehensive facility operations, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client service delivery. This senior leadership role requires strong technical expertise combined with team management capabilities to oversee complex facility operations in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Manage and direct on-site teams including external suppliers to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

  • Develop and maintain a high-performing, motivated team while fostering an environment of collaboration, trust, and performance excellence.

  • Provide mentoring and facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all facilities matters, proactively engaging with stakeholders across multiple organizational levels to exceed expectations and build strong, effective relationships.

  • Ensure consistent delivery of services that align with client objectives and organizational standards.

Vendor & Procurement Management

  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure timely, budget-compliant service delivery.

  • Manage procurement processes in accordance with client guidelines and JLL best practices.

  • Monitor contract performance, initiate re-procurement processes as needed, and continuously assess contracts to deliver optimal value.

Financial Management & Cost Control

  • Drive site financial operations to meet or exceed targets while maintaining strict adherence to JLL's Code of Ethics.

  • Monitor and report budget expenditure, manage purchase order processes and invoice approvals, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality or output.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe working environment through compliance with JLL EH&S policies, local statutory regulations, and industry safety standards.

  • Implement and manage RAMS and permit-to-work systems, participate in required safety meetings and training, and ensure full compliance with fire safety and occupational health requirements.

Operations & Performance Management

  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement practices and industry best practices.

  • Maintain building procedures and performance standards, meet Critical Environment Management requirements where applicable, and provide 24/7 emergency response support as part of a team approach.

  • Regularly review operations to optimize costs while improving service standards.

Risk Management & Business Continuity

  • Implement and maintain comprehensive property risk management programs including regular audits.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

  • Serve as the primary contact for facilities, project management, and crisis response activities, ensuring prompt resolution and proactive identification of potential issues.

Sustainability & Performance

  • Achieve key performance indicators and service level agreements while promoting sustainable service delivery methods.

  • Stay current with environmental, sustainability, and ecological developments, actively incorporating these into service activities where appropriate.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities management, property management, hard/soft services, or hospitality

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language and English

  • Proven experience leading and managing teams in complex operational environments

  • Demonstrated ability in vendor management for specialized services

  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, BMS)

  • Experience with Health & Safety protocols, risk assessment, method statements, and permit-to-work systems

  • Understanding of occupational safety requirements and local regulations

  • Proficiency with CAFM systems or similar facility management software

  • Budget management and financial analysis capabilities

  • Experience with quality management and KPI measurement systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or relevant technical certifications (BIFM, CAFM, or local equivalents)

  • Experience in manufacturing or laboratory environments

  • Knowledge of semiconductor facility requirements

  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives

  • Additional language skills (German/Flemish/French as applicable)

Working Conditions

This role requires flexibility for 24/7 emergency response support and may involve travel between sites. The position demands both strategic thinking and hands-on operational involvement in a fast-paced technical environment.
