At Jet Brains, code is our passion. Since 2000, we’ve focused on helping developers work faster and with fewer distractions by automating routine checks and fixes.

Hexana is a project within Jet Brains’ Innovation Hub. We’re building a reverse engineering and binary analysis toolkit that brings semantic understanding of compiled binaries into the IDE and AI-assisted disassembly workflows.

We started developing Hexana with Web Assembly and have already shipped an MVP with over 1,000 downloads and early adopters that include teams at Oracle and various others from within the Kotlin ecosystem. Now we’re expanding into the broader binary world: ELF, Mach-O, PE, APE, LLVM bytecode, and more. The goal is to define a new category inside the IDE ecosystem.

We’re now looking for a Product Manager to help move Hexana from early validation to a scalable, strategically positioned product by driving research, refining direction, and building the case for long-term impact.

This role could be a good fit if you:

  • Want to shape a new category in developer tooling.

  • Are genuinely interested in low-level systems, binaries, and reverse engineering.

  • Enjoy working at the intersection of deep technical work and product strategy.

  • Are comfortable working in a small, highly technical team.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct discovery interviews with system engineers, reverse engineers, compiler developers, and other advanced users to understand their workflows and needs at the binary layer.

  • Translate technical capabilities and user pain points into a clear, defensible roadmap.

  • Continuously validate hypotheses and refine positioning through research and competitive analysis.

  • Track the reverse engineering and binary tooling landscape, including IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, and others, to inform strategy.

  • Define and evolve the go-to-market and monetization approach.

  • Communicate product progress, strategy, and results to Jet Brains sponsors and internal stakeholders.

We’ll be happy to have you on our team if you:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in product management or a role with similar ownership and responsibility.

  • Have experience building or scaling developer tools, IDE plugins, workflow platforms, or other technically demanding products.

  • Have directly influenced the success of a technically complex product, not just built processes around it.

  • Have a strong technical mindset and can earn the respect of engineers working on compilers, binary formats, and low-level systems.

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy turning exploration and research into clear product direction.

We’d be especially glad if you:

  • Have worked in reverse engineering, compiler, security, or binary tooling.

  • Have zero-to-one experience shaping an early product, validating hypotheses, and driving initial adoption.

  • Care about making complex, low-level systems more elegant, accessible, and integrated into the developer experience.

Hexana is still in its early stages, but it is real. The team is small, technical, and ambitious. This is an opportunity to help define how binary intelligence becomes a natural part of the modern IDE ecosystem, backed by one of the most respected developer tools companies in the world.

I think Dioxus is the Killer

I have been a software developer since 1997 (yes, I am very very old). During my career I have mostly been working with Microsoft .NET and C#, but I have dabbled in Java and these last five-six years I was actually doing a lot of Ruby on Rails, which I feel is what inspired a lot of stuff Microsoft implemented in .NET when RoR was the hottest kid on the block, like migrations, MVC etc. But that's neither here nor there. My journey with Rust started with Bevy. I like making games as a hobby and

JetBrains might be considering bringing back Swift support.

As everyone knows, AppCode was discontinued a few years ago, and iOS developers have had to move to other IDEs like Xcode. But maybe JetBrains is reconsidering. I received an email, probably because I’m subscribed to JetBrains Research, saying that they’re looking to interview Swift users, like in the attached screenshot. The email included a survey link for registration. It seems to work even without the query parameters, so I’m sharing it here: [https://surveys.jetbrains.com/s3/swift-dev
