Position: Medical Science Liaison Purpose of the Role
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a scientific expert and key conduit between the healthcare community and the Client Company. The role focuses on providing accurate medical information, gathering clinical insights, and supporting the medical strategy within the designated therapeutic area.
Key elements of the role include:
- Providing scientific and medical information to healthcare professionals (HCPs) in alignment with company guidance.
- Maintaining a high level of knowledge of the therapeutic area and Client Company’s medicines.
- Executing medical engagement strategies compliantly while collaborating with cross‑functional colleagues.
- Delivering approved medical and scientific content to relevant stakeholders.
Key Interactions Internal: Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Clinical Research, Public Affairs, Medical Information, Legal, Global & Regional Medical Teams, Medical Quality & Compliance.
Note: Strategic commercial alignment with sales colleagues is not permitted.
External: Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Speakers, Decision Makers, Medical Societies, Health Authorities.

Main Responsibilities

Understand the priorities of Medical Affairs within the therapeutic area and support aligned field-based tactics.

Provide education to HCPs on Client Company medicines, real‑world evidence, and clinical data to support improved patient outcomes.

Share scientifically sound and objective medical information regarding disease areas and medicines.

Identify top customers for scientific engagement.
-
Share customer insights internally and identify opportunities for enhanced collaboration.

Lead or support customer‑focused medical projects, partnerships, and non‑interventional studies aimed at improving healthcare delivery.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the market, competitors, and scientific trends.

Manage multiple field-based projects while prioritizing effectively and exercising sound judgment.

Deliver impactful communication through live and virtual scientific presentations.

Ensure all medical communications maintain a strong patient‑centred focus.

Provide appropriate medical support throughout the Investigator‑Sponsored Research (ISR) process.

Stay updated on the latest scientific literature, congress data, and therapeutic advancements.

Build strong cross-functional relationships across local, regional, and global teams.

Required Skill Set
-
University degree in Medicine or Pharmacy.

1–3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Medical/Clinical, Commercial, etc.).

Medical/Clinical experience is preferred.
Proven experience in the role
- Knowledge of industry codes, policies, and local regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, self-awareness, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to constructively manage conflict and collaborate in a matrix environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex scientific content.
- Strong customer-focused and patient-centric mindset.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to adopt digital platforms and record medical interactions effectively.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
