Role Summary

The Agency Segment Lead is responsible for defining and driving the agency segment strategy while ensuring exceptional client service, delivery excellence, and commercial performance. This role helps quarterback a group of internal professionals supporting pharmaceutical and agency clients and serves as a senior strategic partner to clients, internal delivery teams, and go‑to‑market stakeholders.

The Agency Segment Lead combines hands‑on client leadership and operational rigor with strategic storytelling and growth enablement, ensuring clients derive maximum value from IQVIA Digital’s agency offerings while contributing to long‑term segment growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities Segment & Client Strategy

  • Develop and own the agency segment strategy across pharmaceutical clients, including large pharma, key accounts, and emerging biotech.

  • Partner with clients to understand evolving needs and translate business objectives into integrated agency solutions.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and client requirements to inform strategy, positioning, and solution evolution.

  • May provide input into regional and local client service and agency strategy.

Client Relationship Management

  • Oversee and expand a portfolio of agency clients, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and measurable impact.

  • Serve as a senior advisor and trusted partner, maintaining strong executive‑level client relationships.

  • Perform regular, in‑depth assessments of client needs to ensure alignment with agency services and value delivery.

  • Ensure clients obtain maximum value from IQVIA Digital’s agency products and services.

Delivery & Operational Leadership

  • Coordinate with the team of account managers and delivery professionals, providing insight into how to improve the customer experience

  • Help to ensure a seamless flow of client needs throughout the delivery process, balancing timelines, resources, and risk.

  • Contribute to complex, multi‑discipline projects requiring strong coordination and oversight.

Commercial Enablement & Growth

  • Partner with account management and sales teams to support pricing, scoping, and packaging of agency solutions.

  • Support strategic account planning, business development efforts, and major client pitches or innovation days.

  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of agency positioning materials, case studies, and client references.

  • Help enable GTM teams through training on agency offerings, narratives, and client presentation materials.

Strategic Storytelling & Enablement

  • Develop executive‑ready narratives that articulate IQVIA Digital’s agency vision, capabilities, and proof points.

  • Build and deliver compelling presentations for client meetings, innovation sessions, and senior‑level engagements.

  • Lead or support training for internal teams on core agency presentations, products, and service expectations.

Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion a client‑centric mindset across agency engagements.

  • Leverage data and analytics to measure success, identify opportunities, and inform continuous improvement.

  • Drive change management and process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability across the segment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $79,600.00 - $221,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
