Compliance Director at IQVIA
About the role
Job Overview
Oversee and direct the strategy and operational initiatives for the Enterprise Compliance Office. Provide advice on various areas of an effective compliance and ethics program. Ensure the compliance of IQVIA processes, systems, and projects with the applicable regulations, guidelines, policies and operating procedures.
Essential Functions
- Drive process improvement and standardization practices within the function and coordinate the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Report compliance metrics to management as applicable
- Advise management on policy and compliance related issues in accordance with company policies, federal and state laws and regulations, and the principles and guidelines. .
- Provide compliance related training to employees, as applicable.
- Oversee compliance related activities for acquisitions and integrations.
- Assist BD groups with responses to RFP compliance related questions from potential clients.
- Work closely with other company departments including legal, internal audit, human resources, and safety and security to ensure effective implementation and communication of compliance and ethics programs.
- Provide compliance and ethics leadership; act as an advocate and champion of the compliance and ethics program among managers, employees and agents. Effectively model established compliance and ethics standards. Provide advice on compliance and ethics matters.
- Direct compliance programs and projects.
- Conduct compliance investigations and guide resources who do not regularly conduct investigations.
- Assist with triaging and management of Ethics Line and other investigation matters.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Chief Compliance Officer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Req
- 10 years experience in pharmaceutical/health care compliance, quality assurance, or related area, including compliance experience in positions of increasing responsibility Req
- Experience providing compliance guidance and executing investigations in a global environment.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience Req
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a function at a senior level.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in which the company operates
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills
- Strong business acumen and solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry and drug development process
- Ability to effectively interact with company senior leadership regarding organization compliance matters
- Ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
