Job Overview:

The Biorepository Associate is responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of clinical specimens, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and company procedures.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist with the receipt of consignments and shipments, performing quality checks and escalating issues as needed.

• Conduct secondary checks of shipping materials to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging.

• Coordinate the correct disposal or recycling of kit shipping supplies.

• Manage the shipping of specimens for long-term storage or client sample disposition.

• Handle receipt of compounds and control material, depending on the functional area.

• Support after-hours alarms and other critical functions, as well as assist in equipment maintenance.

• Maintain workstation cleanliness and inventory, notifying appropriate staff of supply shortages.

• Organize the work area and perform administrative duties as requested by management.

• Follow safety procedures and participate in continuing education opportunities.

• Perform work in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company standards.

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and workflow management.

• Capability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

• Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing specimens and workflows.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines for specimen handling.

• Adaptability in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $24,400.00 - $50,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
