Job Description
The Invesco Structured Investments team manages a wide range of strategies to support the broader Invesco Fixed Income platform. Its mandate spans the residential and commercial agency and non-agency mortgage-backed sectors as well as the asset-backed securities sector with the goal of delivering best-in-class fund performance. The team manages approximately $40 bn USD across a variety of strategies including mutual funds, ETFs, institutional separately managed accounts, and an Agency-focused mortgage REIT.
The Senior Analyst will serve as a key member of the team responsible for evaluating, selecting and positioning public and private asset-backed investments across Invesco-managed products. They will also participate in business development activities with both current and prospective clients. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be actively involved in elevating the team profile across the broader Invesco Fixed Income platform.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with portfolio managers and other analysts on a variety of public and private asset-backed finance investment strategies managed by the Structured Investments team, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and institutional accounts
-
Deep experience in asset-backed underwriting which includes, but is not limited to, assessing underlying collateral and conducting loan and bond cash flow modeling
-
Underwrite public ABS and private asset-backed finance investments across a wide range of ABS/ABF sectors and issuers. The team invests in flow, liquid credit, esoteric, and non-public sectors

Conduct market research and assist senior team members in formulating an investment outlook
-
Utilize excel, general-purpose programming languages and artificial intelligence to conduct monthly credit surveillance/monitoring
-
Employ a relative value-oriented mindset when assessing cross-sector asset allocation opportunities across the universe of public and private structured products (ABS, CMBS, MBS, asset-backed loans and mortgage-backed loans) as well as other fixed income sectors

Develop meaningful relationships with loan originators and sell-side contacts to help facilitate deal flow and best execution on investment acquisitions

Interact with broader Structured Investments analysts to better understand underwriting, internal rating processes and sector nuances
-
Formulate and communicate trade ideas for the broader Invesco Fixed Income platform to generate potential alpha for the wider set of investment teams
-
Periodically interact with current or prospective retail and institutional investors
-
Draft periodic investment commentary for both internal and external audiences
-
Commercialize asset-backed investment capabilities through product development and marketing efforts
Qualifications:
-
7+ years of experience in underwriting asset-backed securities or private asset-backed finance investments across a variety of collateral types (e.g., credit cards, autos, student loans, whole business, aircraft, container, data center, fiber optic, etc.)

Expertise in the use of Intex and Bloomberg
-
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
-
Python and VBA programming skills are a plus
-
CFA Charterholder or pursuit thereof preferred
