The Mission
Small businesses fuel the global economy. In the US alone, they employ 60% of the workforce and create 80% of new jobs. Yet, the odds are stacked against them: one in two fails within five years. One of the most severe challenges a small business faces is managing their cash flow: balancing inflows and outflows, late customer payments, funding growth, and making payroll, all while hoping there is enough left over for profit or a rainy day.
At QuickBooks, we aren't just building software; we are trying to increase the survival rate of entrepreneurship globally. We are building the operating system that allows businesses to get paid faster, access capital, and manage their financial destiny.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to own the strategy for our Core Invoicing and Quote-to-Cash capabilities.
This is the heartbeat of our platform. You will shape how millions of businesses find work, quote for it, and get paid. We seek to automate the entire revenue lifecycle for diverse customer personas. You will unlock net-new capabilities, close product-market fit gaps, and drive the metrics that matter most: Cash flow for our customers, and Total Payments Volume (TPV) for our business.
Responsibilities
- Define the Strategic Vision: Set the multi-year vision and roadmap for the Quote-to-Cash ecosystem. You will translate complex customer needs into a cohesive strategy that unlocks new feature capabilities and cements our position as the market leader.
- Own the Business Outcome: Drive the key success metrics of the portfolio, specifically increasing invoice volume and Total Payments Volume (TPV). You will maniacally focus on customer engagement, using data to identify high-leverage growth opportunities.
- Execute with Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch. You will balance velocity with enterprise-grade quality, pressure-testing designs, managing edge cases, and ensuring delivery matches the ambition of the vision.
- Champion the Customer: Utilize advanced analytics and direct customer feedback to identify friction in the Accounts Receivable workflow. You will be the voice of the SMB, ensuring we solve for their specific pain points rather than just shipping features.
Qualifications
- A Product Veteran: 8+ years of product management experience with a proven history of scaling B2B/SaaS products. You have specific expertise in end-to-end workflow optimization, funnel growth, and ideally, the payments/invoicing space.
- Strategic & Influential: You have exceptional executive presence. You can translate market insights into actionable strategy and effectively align C-level stakeholders and technical teams around a shared vision.
- A Proven Growth Driver: You have a track record of leading complex initiatives that resulted in significant business growth. You understand the levers of TPV and user acquisition and know how to pull them.
- Customer Obsessed & Analytical: You possess a deep understanding of SMB operations. You combine this empathy with rigorous analytical aptitude, making data-driven decisions to prioritize investments that deliver the highest value.
- A Leader of Culture: You hold a high bar for quality and foster a growth mindset. You are comfortable with ambiguity, view failure as a learning opportunity, and inspire cross-functional teams to think outside the box.
Why Join Us?
- Impact at Scale: Your work will directly impact the financial health of millions of businesses.
- Autonomy: You will own one of the most critical pillars of our ecosystem.
- Culture: Join a team that values high performance, deep empathy, and continuous innovation.
