This role owns the foundational layer of checkout: how payors create accounts, sign in, manage payment methods, and securely store and reuse their wallet across invoices, payment links, estimates, and future embedded experiences. You will define and build a seamless, cross-product identity and wallet experience that reduces friction, increases trust, and drives repeat usage across the Intuit ecosystem.
This is a highly strategic, high-leverage role. Your work directly impacts first-time and repeat payor conversion, checkout speed, saved payment adoption, fraud outcomes, and billions of dollars in Total Payments Volume (TPV). Already about 50% of Payors coming to pay an invoice from a merchant using Quickbooks Payments has another Intuit account (via TurboTax, Mailchimp etc.). The person in this role will shape the strategy on how to unlock the huge opportunity at the Intuit ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Define the Strategy: Set the multi-year vision and roadmap to transform checkout from a one-time transaction into a seamless, identity-powered payment experience. You will define how we convert payors from guests into trusted, authenticated Intuit users—driving account creation, increasing authenticated usage, and expanding account and wallet adoption.
You will shape how we recognize existing Intuit users across the ecosystem, intelligently prompt account creation for new users, and create persistent wallet continuity between merchant and payor experiences. This includes enabling reusable payment methods, shared context across transactions, and faster, more seamless payments over time.
Execute with Rigor and Excellence: Lead end-to-end product execution from discovery to launch. You will pressure-test ideas and hypothesis, manage complex edge cases, and ensure high quality in one of Intuit’s most critical, revenue-impacting systems. You’ll need to bring along multiple stakeholders to support your workplan.
Champion the Customer: Utilize advanced analytics and direct customer feedback and research to identify friction in the checkout process. You will be the voice of the SMBs and their payors, ensuring checkout works for real-world scenarios.
Qualifications
A Product Veteran: 8+ years of product management experience; ideally with Payments and checkout background.
Strategic & Influential: You have exceptional executive presence. You can translate market insights into actionable strategy and effectively align C-level stakeholders and dependent teams around a shared vision.
A Proven Growth Driver: You have a track record of leading complex initiatives that resulted in significant business growth.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to diagnose funnel friction, evaluate tradeoffs, measure impact, and guide prioritization. Experience working with metrics such as conversion, paid on rails etc.
Customer Obsessed: Deep empathy for customers and a commitment to understanding real user behavior through research, data, and direct feedback. Consistently advocates for solving meaningful customer problems rather than just shipping features.
