Part of the GBSG Marketing Services organization, the Web Marketing team is responsible for optimizing the Mailchimp website to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. We leverage qualitative and quantitative data, customer insights, and experimentation to design and execute effective, scalable web optimization programs.
We are seeking a seasoned Group Marketing Manager to lead our Web Marketing team. This leader will have a strong track record as a “player/coach,” demonstrating success in strategic planning, creating exceptional customer experiences, driving measurable business results, and
influencing cross-functional teams at all levels.
You will spearhead the short- and long-term transformation of Mailchimp’s website, guiding the strategy, roadmap, optimization, and execution to meet and exceed acquisition and conversion goals. You’ll partner closely across key partner teams like Paid Media, Lifecycle Marketing, Product, Design, Engineering, Analytics, Sales, and more to deliver high-performing experiences that drive growth and deepen engagement for our customers.
To excel in this role, you’ll need to bring a mix of strategic thinking, data-driven insight, operational mastery, and leadership skills. The ability to analyze traffic and conversion data, develop hypotheses, and prioritize impactful initiatives while fostering collaboration across teams is critical.
Responsibilities

- Experimentation Leadership: Drive website experimentation initiatives—including A/B testing—to identify high-potential opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Growth Strategy and Optimization: Leverage audience insights, traffic patterns, and behavioral data to optimize site experiences, create learning plans, develop scalable templates, and implement best practices across the user journey.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner deeply across Product Management, UX Design, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and Sales teams to define and execute seamless end-to-end web experiences.
- Performance Measurement: Manage web analytics dashboards and track progress towards KPIs (e.g., traffic, engagement, conversion rates), identify opportunities, and recommend improvements.
- Technical Execution and Governance: Partner with Web Operations and Product teams to ensure scalable, high-quality technical execution, governance frameworks, and adherence to UX and branding standards.
- People Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a team of web marketers and operations team members; foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture rooted in experimentation and customer empathy.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of business experience in acquisition and/or product marketing within SaaS/Technology companies.
- Web Marketing Craft Expertise: Proven expertise in web marketing with a track record of building successful web optimization programs. Small/medium-sized B2B/B2C experience is a plus.
- Customer-Obsessed: Leads with customer insights, obsessively seeks new insights that result in action, and advocates internally and externally on behalf of our customers.
- Strategic and Analytical: Experience with consumer research and data, including qualitative and quantitative testing. Ability to quickly analyze and synthesize data from a variety of sources and distill into clear, concise recommendations for an executive audience. Proven ability to leverage data to measure marketing performance, inform growth opportunities and business case development.
- AI Fluency: Demonstrated understanding and application of AI and machine learning in web optimization, including personalized experiences, predictive analytics, and automated content generation.
- Compelling Storyteller: Excellent written and verbal communications, presentation and facilitation skills to drive speed, engagement, clarity, and action. Ability to make the complex simple and convince peers and executives to take action.
- Intellectually Curious Risk-Taker: Understands the importance of trying and failing and encourages hypothesis-driven experimentation.
- Collaborator and Influencer: Strong interpersonal and influencing skills in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment. Ability to interact with colleagues of all levels in a peer-like way.
- Self-Starter: Demonstrated track record of self-motivation and willingness to proactively and independently take on leadership roles in projects, prioritize what matters, and manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Versatile Doer: Forward-thinking leader with the ability to problem solve with ambiguity, drive data-based decisions and own outcomes, and roll up their sleeves to execute.
