The Role and Impact
As a Firmware Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our firmware solutions, forming a critical foundation for Intel's cutting-edge technology. Key Responsibilities of Firmware Validation Engineer:

  • Design and develop software validation environments to test firmware functionality.
  • Create validation plans and associated methodologies to ensure comprehensive coverage of system and subsystem requirements.
  • Execute validation activities, analyze results, and debug failures to ensure functionality aligns with specifications.
  • Identify root causes of issues, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Write and maintain validation standards, procedures, and documentation to uphold best practices.
  • Assess new validation methods, tools, and technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of the validation process.
  • Provide support and expertise for customer-reported issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in software or firmware validation with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years with a Master's degree.
  • Practical knowledge and hands-on expertise in Python scripting for validation purposes.
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills to identify and resolve complex firmware issues.
  • Familiarity with the software validation process and test scope planning.
  • Demonstrated capability in firmware debugging within complex hardware-software environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a disciplined approach to executing tasks.
  • Experience providing customer support and resolving firmware-related issues in real-world applications.
  • Passion for learning and employing emerging tools or methodologies within the firmware validation domain.
