Job Description:

The Engineering FPnA analyst provides critical financial planning and analysis support to the Silicon and Platform Engineering group.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a key financial partner to groups leadership, providing ongoing financial guidance and actionable insights.
  • Lead annual and quarterly forecasting processes in partnership with operations influencing the decision-making process.
  • Own monthly close activities, provide cycle over cycle analysis business insights, and risks and opportunities to improve predictability and accuracy.
  • Support investment sizing, business case development, and scenario modeling for engineering initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and reporting enhancements to increase efficiency and data integrity.
  • Participate in cross-functional finance initiatives focused on standardization and operational excellence.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision making in partnership with management.

A successful candidate will have proven experience demonstrating the following skills and behavioral traits:

  • Strong financial analysis with ability to interpret data and translate it into clear business insights.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) with ability to present to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business partnership, influence stakeholders, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Problem solving with ability to drive root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Self-driven, action-oriented, and focused on continuous process improvement and automation.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA an advantage).
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business modelling.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Permanent-unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Experience with Power BI, or other data visualization and analytic tools.
  • Passion and knowledge for driving process improvements, automation, standardization, and business process management.
