Key Responsibilities:

• Execute physical design implementation of custom IP and SoC designs, transitioning from RTL to GDS with a comprehensive focus on design readiness for manufacturing.
• Conduct all aspects of the physical design flow, including synthesis, floor planning, place-and-route, clock tree synthesis, static timing analysis, and power/clock distribution.
• Perform verification and signoff tasks such as formal equivalence verification, static timing analysis, power and reliability verification, electrical rule checking, and structural design checks.
• Analyze and resolve violations related to timing, power, noise, and reliability to ensure optimal performance and design compliance.
• Optimize designs to enhance core parameters such as power efficiency, operational frequency, and area utilization.
• Leverage expertise in physical clock design, timing closure, multiple power domain analysis, and design for test (DFT) using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Collaborate in the development and refinement of physical design methodologies and automation flows, ensuring continuous improvement in design processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (Master Degree preferred) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in physical design engineering.
• Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools and methodologies for synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, and reliability verification.
• Hands-on experience in physical design flows, including RTL to GDS implementation, timing closure, and power integrity analysis.
• Strong understanding of power, performance, and area optimization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl for automation of design flows.
• Experience in developing and enhancing physical design methodologies and workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex design challenges.
• Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
