Job Summary:

The Production Engineer (Electrical) will be responsible for overseeing and improving electrical manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth production flow, maintaining quality standards, and achieving timely output. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, enhance efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor and the Customer Locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out control panel assembly, including mounting components like MCBs, relays, contactors, PLCs, and terminal blocks.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings accurately.

  • Ensure proper cable routing, dressing, ferruling, lugging, and termination.

  • Conduct continuity checks, insulation resistance (IR) tests, and functional testing of electrical systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in production and assembled units.

  • Ensure correct earthing/grounding and compliance with electrical safety standards.

  • Coordinate with stores to ensure availability of electrical components, wires, and consumables.

  • Maintain proper labeling, identification, and documentation of wiring and components.

  • Installation and commissioning of vacuum systems at site.

  • Ensure adherence to safety practices (LOTO, PPE, electrical safety norms).

  • Monitor and improve quality of wiring and assembly to minimize rework and defects.

  • Guide technicians and electricians on best wiring practices and standards.

  • Basic knowledge of Type -2 Coordination chart

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering.

  • 3–6years of experience in electrical production/manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and industrial equipment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or assembly environments.

  • AutoCAD – V23

  • Knowledge of PLCs

  • Familiarity with electrical drawings and schematics.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and team coordination abilities.

Languages:

  • Proficiency in Tamil & English (mandatory)

Travel & Work Requirements:

  • Travel as required for project or site support.

  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment.
