Job Overview:

This position will be responsible for designing, customizing, and delivering ETO (Engineered to Order) solutions tailored to customer specifications for the Ergonomic Material Handling products within the North American Power Tools and Lifting organization. This role collaborates closely with sales, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure technical accuracy, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of solutions. This involves understanding the product requirements from the sales team and customers, preparing conceptual design, resolving technical challenges, lead design review, and support technical / commercial proposals to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer requirements and develop techno commercials aligned with ETO standards.
• Strong knowledge in CAD (2D and 3D) with strong hands-on experience on Creo/Solid Works.
• Prepare 3D concepts as per customer/sales RFQ, detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for customized products.
• Strong Knowledge of product design, Lifting and Erogonomic experience will be preferred
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to ensure feasibility and compliance.
• To prepare the quotation and develop gate 1 proposals to the customer as per their requirement.
• Provide technical support during proposal development and project execution.
• Design of special purpose machine (SPM), and participate in Engineering part selection (BOM)
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality guidelines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize ETO processes and reduce lead times.
• Maintain accurate records of designs, revisions, and approvals in the engineering database.

Qualifications:

• Education**:**

• B.tech/B.E in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).

• Experience**:**

• 5+ years in ETO (Engineered to Order) or custom product engineering environment.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, Solid Works, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.

• Skills**:**

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

Core Competencies:

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering principles, CAD software, and industry standards. Design codes (ASME, IEC and EN standards)
• Strong hands-on experience with CREO/Solid Works, Windchill PLM.
• Proficient in GD&T, DFMEA, DOE/Stack up analysis.
• Proficient in RCA (Root-cause Analysis), non-conformity issues (external and Internal customers)
• In-depth knowledge manufacturing processes (machining, plastic, casting, sheet metal)
• Sound Knowledge in Pneumatics (SMC/FESTO)
• Sound knowledge in selection of PLC/HMI/SCADA/IPC as per application requirements
• Proficient in hand calculations to verify design.
• Basic knowledge of Vendor Management.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
• Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
