Job Summary:

We are looking for an SAP BASIS Administrator to join our growing team! This role will be coordinating all operational and maintenance activities in the projects and day-to-day support of all SAP components from SAP BASIS to work and support independently and collaborate effectively on Ingersoll Rand’s global, multi-functional SAP systems with different infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute SAP Operational Tasks - perform setup/configuration, install, object transports, troubleshooting, error handling, performance tuning, and problem resolution; System upgrade

  • Assist in planning and executing SAP system SP and EHP installation; System refresh.

  • Understanding of SAP High Availability or Disaster Recovery architecture, network, and virtual technologies (Firewall Setup, load-balancer, virtual machine etc.,), cooperate with infrastructure teams to complete tasks of system design of hardware/network requirements and the system build, and the 3rd party application integration implementation; perform the regular backups and implement disaster recovery process of all SAP systems on different infrastructure platforms.

  • Provide Technical Support for SAP - examine technical infrastructures, including transport and printer administration, job scheduling, designing, and implementing SAP operational needs.

  • Monitor SAP Systems Performance

  • Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all SAP systems. Monitor systems to ensure they are tuned and optimally running. analyze issues and implement tuning measures to optimize SAP system performance. Reporting SAP incidents and SAP service requests and follow up.

  • Documentation and Training: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of SAP system configurations, processes, and procedures. Contribute in requirements gathering, design, testing, documentation, and training activities for SAP projects of Basis.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science OR equivalent

Minimum Experience: 7 - 9 years

Language Requirement: English (Fluent)

Key Skillsets and experience:

  • Experience in major SAP ABAP and Java systems administration (ECC, EWM, S/4HANA, GRC, Sol Man, MII, ADS, Web Dispatcher, CPI/Could Connector) and other major 3rd party Bolt-On’s & applications.

  • Good knowledge and experience with different SAP infrastructure platforms with Could like SAP BTP, Azure with the database systems, like MS SQL Server, Oracle, HANA; and OS like Windows VM, Linux/AIX, etc.

  • Familiar with other SAP functional modules like ABAP, Finance, SD, MM/PP with Basic knowledge; ability to cooperate with people at all SAP functional modules and SAP projects; Coordination and working experience with Developers, OS and hardware teams is preferred.

  • Understanding of SAP security roles, authorizations and user administration; Understanding of Security provisioning systems (GRC) and processes.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of the business.

  • Self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and ability to contribute independently.

  • Strong SAP skills and self-learning ability with a growth mindset and learning agility.
