Job & Division Summary:

The Project Engineer will strengthen the operational, analytical, and process foundations supporting PFT EMEAI’s i2V, DfS, and Project Management activities. The role focuses on delivering dependable execution in data management, reporting, automation, and process continuity—forming a strong operational base for effective decision-making and cross-functional alignment. Over time, the engineer will progressively take ownership of selected program workstreams including i2V tracking, Project Management reporting, DfS KPI management, and engineering system maturity.

Responsibilities

2.1 Operational & Backend Program Coordination

  • Manage backend workflows across i2V, DfS, and Project/Program Management.

  • Maintain multi-site trackers, KPIs, dashboards, and structured action logs.

  • Prepare meeting packs, Mo Ms, follow-up trackers, and review summaries.

  • Support planning and documentation for teardown events, workshops, and trainings.

2.2 Data Management, Number Crunching & Reporting Automation

  • Consolidate and validate data across i2V funnel, DfS KPIs, engineering metrics, and project milestones.

  • Develop automation solutions using VBA to reduce manual effort and improve report reliability.

  • Perform number crunching, data interpretation, and structured insight generation.

  • Produce high-quality presentations and review materials for leadership.

  • Support data visualization initiatives through structured reporting frameworks.

2.3 Process & Standard Work Development

  • Develop, document, and maintain standard work for IRPX, NTI, i2V, DfS, and engineering support processes.

  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements in documentation, templates, and workflows.

  • Maintain repositories for SOPs, templates, checklists, and training content.

2.4 Engineering Tools & System Enablement

  • Support adoption and usage tracking of Windchill and other PLM/engineering tools.

  • Prepare tool usage summaries, maturity insights, and training aids.

  • Support backend system enablement through documentation and structured materials.

2.5 Backend Stakeholder Coordination Support

  • Consolidate updates from engineering, product management, operations, procurement, and site i2V leaders.

  • Prepare backend summaries and pre-read materials enabling front-facing leadership engagements.

  • Ensure timely and accurate communication through structured backend data flows.

2.6 Growth & Backend Ownership Path (Medium Term)

  • Take ownership of assigned backend workstreams (i2V data engine, DfS KPIs, Project/Program reports).

  • Support leadership in reviews by preparing analysis, insights, and meeting content.

  • Contribute to the development of digital tools, analytics, and process improvements.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including VBA for automation.

  • Strong number crunching, analytical thinking, and data interpretation abilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to structure leadership-ready content.

  • Ability to perform data visualization and communicate insights clearly.

  • Ability to independently manage backend workflows with high accuracy.

  • Understanding of Product Engineering or Product Development Lifecycle.

Desired skills:

  • Experience with Power BI (data modelling, dashboards) – trainable.

  • Experience with Power Apps (forms, workflows) – trainable.

  • Experience with Windchill or other PLM tools.

  • Exposure to Project or Program Management practices.

  • Experience with process automation or digital improvement initiatives.

  • PMP certification or progress toward certification.

  • High attention to detail and a structured working style.

  • Strong ownership and accountability mindset.

  • Ability to influence without authority through clarity and structured work.

  • Passion for continuous improvement, digitalization, and automation.

  • Growth mindset with interest in expanding backend ownership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree preferably Mechanical Engineering.

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience
