About the role
Role Summary:
The Senior Client Operations Head for Deposit Operations will lead end‑to‑end operational delivery for deposit products, ensuring accuracy, compliance, client satisfaction, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for managing high‑volume transaction operations, driving performance KPIs, strengthening controls, enabling digital transformation, and serving as the strategic interface between clients, internal stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership & Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end Deposit Operations including account maintenance, onboarding, ACH, wires, stop payments, returns, overdrafts, holds, reconciliations, and exception processing.
- Ensure adherence to TAT, SLA, accuracy, and regulatory standards.
- Lead day-to-day operations, workforce planning, productivity optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, throughput, and process reliability.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary senior point of contact for clients.
- Manage governance meetings, scorecards, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with compliance, risk, technology, and product teams.
- Support transitions, issue resolution, and client-driven initiatives.
- Risk, Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to US banking regulations (Reg CC, Reg E, BSA/AML, NACHA rules).
- Strengthen operational controls and risk-mitigation frameworks.
- Drive audit readiness and issue remediation.
- Transformation & Change Management
- Lead automation, workflow digitization, and RPA/AI initiatives.
- Implement Lean methodologies to reduce manual effort.
- Partner with technology teams to drive system enhancements.
- People Leadership
- Manage large teams across locations.
- Drive training, certification, and domain readiness programs.
- Set performance goals and enable succession planning.
- Strategic Planning
- Develop operational strategies aligned to business and client goals.
- Optimize cost structures and resource utilization.
- Support RFPs, due diligence, and new business solutioning.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- 15–20+ years in Banking Operations with 7+ years in Deposit Ops leadership.
- Experience in client-facing operations, preferably in global delivery.
- Strong understanding of US banking regulations and control frameworks.
