Job Description

The SAP Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and governing SAP solution architectures across business, infrastructure, and functional domains, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA Utilities (IS-U). This role involves evaluating alternative SAP architectures, assessing trade-offs in cost, performance, and scalability, and producing specifications for on-premises or cloud-based SAP components. The architect ensures compliance with enterprise standards, security requirements, and supports transformation programs through technical planning and SAP design principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design SAP S/4HANA system architecture and landscape, including integration aspects across SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Develop and maintain SAP solution architecture documents, technical specifications, and guide development teams in alignment with SAP best practices.
• Assess data security and GDPR compliance requirements and incorporate necessary security features into SAP solution designs.
• Align with enterprise architecture and SAP Activate methodology to ensure fit-for-purpose implementation.
• Clarify business requirements and translate them into SAP functional and technical designs, supporting creation of user stories and solution blueprints.
• Provide thought leadership on SAP Utilities (IS-U) processes and integration scenarios.

Required Skills

• Several years of experience in SAP solution architecture and system landscape design, including S/4HANA.
• Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into SAP technical language for detailed solution design.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, CPI, PI/PO)

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Certified Technology or Solution Architect credentials.
• Experience in SAP Utilities (IS-U) architecture and related industry processes.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology, cloud deployment models (RISE with SAP), and hybrid landscapes.
• TÜV Pers. Certificate: IT Architecture and Technology Professional or equivalent certifications.
