Power Bi Admin

This role offers the opportunity to own and shape a modern analytics environment using Power BI at scale. You will be the go-to expert for administering, securing, and optimizing our Power BI ecosystem, ensuring data is reliable, performant, and accessible to the right people at the right time. Working closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, you will help translate complex requirements into a robust, governed BI platform that supports impactful decision-making.
With 5–9 years of experience, you’ll bring both technical depth and practical judgment—balancing governance with agility. You’ll help define best practices, streamline deployments, and contribute to a culture where data is trusted, collaboration is encouraged, and innovation is welcomed. Administer and manage the Power BI Service, including workspace management, access control, and tenant settings.
Configure and maintain Power BI Gateways (On-premises Data Gateway) for secure data connectivity.
Implement and manage data security, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access controls.
Monitor and optimize Power BI performance, usage, and capacity (Premium / Embedded environments preferred).
Manage dataset refresh schedules, troubleshoot refresh failures, and ensure data accuracy.
Maintain governance policies, best practices, and compliance standards for BI usage.
Support deployment pipelines and lifecycle management (Dev, Test, Prod environments).
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders for reporting requirements.
Track usage metrics, audit logs, and provide insights for adoption improvements.
Troubleshoot issues related to reports, dashboards, datasets, and integrations.
Ensure backup, recovery, and version control strategies are followed.

2–5 years of experience in Power BI Administration or related BI roles.
Strong knowledge of Power BI Service, Desktop, and Gateway configuration.
Experience with Azure services (Azure AD, Azure SQL, Data Factory, etc.) is preferred.
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling concepts.
Good understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database systems (SQL Server, etc.).
Experience in security implementation—RLS, data privacy, and compliance.
Knowledge of Power BI Premium capacity management is a plus.
Familiarity with REST APIs and PowerShell scripting for automation is desirable.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
