Your Role

Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing finance processes within the S/4HANA landscape. With deep expertise in FICO modules and extensive experience across multiple full-cycle implementations, this consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver best-in-class financial solutions aligned with industry standards and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the Finance Stream and Conduct workshops with finance stakeholders (CFO, Controllers, Treasury, AP/AR teams).
• Perform fit-gap analysis and document business requirements.
• Advise on SAP S/4 best practices for Finance & Controlling.
• Lead design of end-to-end financial processes, including:
  o General Ledger (New GL)
  o Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)
  o Asset Accounting (AA)
  o Controlling (CO) - CCA, PCA, COPA, Internal Orders
  o Bank Accounting & Cash Management
  o Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
  o Product Costing
  o Financial Close & Reporting
• Drive integration between Finance and other modules like MM, SD, PP, PS, EWM, Success Factors, Concur, Ariba, Treasury systems.
• Collaborate with technical teams for interfaces, IDocs, AIF, middleware, and third party integrations.
• Experience with:
  o Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
  o New Asset Accounting
  o Margin Analysis (PCA/CO-PA)
  o Central Finance (optional but preferred)
  o Embedded Analytics, Fiori apps, CDS views
  o Parallel ledgers & multi-GAAP reporting
• Project Delivery by leading and execute all SAP Activate phases:
• Discover → Prepare → Explore → Realize → Deploy → Run
• Prepare functional specs, configuration docs, test scripts, and training materials.
• Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hyper care activities.
• Collaborate with ABAP team on WRICEF developments.
• Work with senior finance leadership and business process owners.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams.
• Ensure smooth change management and adoption across the organization.
• Provide L3 support and solution enhancements post go-live.
• Recommend improvements, automation opportunities, and process optimization.
• Drive continuous improvement using analytics and KPI monitoring.

Skills

• Must Have experience in SAP FICO including S/4HANA with at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4 implementations
• Strong expertise in:
  o GL accounting
  o AP/AR
  o Asset accounting
  o Cost center & profit center accounting
  o Internal orders
  o CO-PA
  o Tax, FSCM (preferred), Treasury (optional)
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture and finance data models.
• Experience with Fiori, ACDOCA, Universal Journal, and embedded reporting.
• Ability to write or review functional specs (WRICEF).
• Experience with integration technologies (IDoc, BAPI, OData).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Leadership in large/global teams.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification ( Nice to Have).
• Good to Have Accounting or finance background (CA, CPA).
• Experience with Central Finance, Group Reporting, or Treasury.
