MicroStrategy Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Micro Strategy Administrator with strong expertise in BI platform administration, including Power BI administration, to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise BI environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance tuning, and security of BI platforms while supporting business intelligence initiatives.

Micro Strategy Administration:

Install, configure, and upgrade Micro Strategy components (Intelligence Server, Web, Mobile, etc.)
Administer Micro Strategy environments across Dev, QA, and Production
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workloads
Manage users, roles, security, and access controls
Perform metadata management, backups, and migrations (Object Manager, Command Manager)
Configure caching, clustering, and high availability setups

Power BI Administration:

Manage Power BI Service environments, including workspaces and datasets
Administer gateways, data refresh schedules, and tenant settings
Monitor usage, performance, and capacity (Premium/Pro environments)
Implement governance, security policies (RLS), and compliance standards
Support report deployment and lifecycle management

Platform & Infrastructure Management:

Work with Windows/Linux servers and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Maintain system health, perform patching, upgrades, and DR readiness
Manage integrations with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)

Performance & Monitoring:

Analyze logs and system metrics to identify issues and improvements
Conduct performance tuning for queries, reports, and dashboards
Ensure SLA adherence and platform reliability

Support & Collaboration:

Provide L2/L3 support for BI issues and incidents
Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders
Document processes, configurations, and best practices

7–8 years of experience in BI platform administration
Strong hands-on experience with Micro Strategy Administration
Experience with Power BI Administration (Service, Gateway, Security)
Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
Understanding of security, governance, and compliance frameworks

Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Cognos, etc.)
Knowledge of automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python)

Experience in DevOps practices for BI deployments:

ITIL/process-oriented support experience
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and stakeholder management
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Education: Bachelor of Engineering
