Role: SAP S/4HANA Rollout Manager Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Rollout Manager to lead and deliver industrialized SAP rollouts across multiple countries in the EU region. The role requires a hands-on delivery leader with strong SAP domain knowledge, proven rollout execution experience, and deep expertise in at least one core delivery area (outlined below). The Rollout Manager will be responsible for end-to-end rollout delivery within defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards, while enforcing the global template and minimizing deviations.

Core Expertise Requirement (Mandatory)

The candidate must demonstrate strong, hands-on expertise in at least Two of the following areas. One or more of these should be the candidate's core strength:

  • Global Test Management - end-to-end ownership of integration testing and UAT across multi-country rollouts
  • Cutover Lead - planning and execution of mock cutovers, go-live simulations, and production cutovers
  • Migration Lead - industrialized data migration strategy, execution, and governance
  • Solution lead- bringing multiple process streams together, stiching E2E processes, managing rollout backlog (fits, gaps), ensuring design authority and scope approvals, ensuring on time and on budget Build and successful functional testing

Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Initiation

  • Define rollout scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
  • Develop detailed rollout plans including timelines, budgets, resource plans, and risk management strategies
  • Lead rollout kick-offs and establish strong governance and delivery cadence

Rollout Execution & Monitoring

  • Lead and manage rollout teams across one or more countries as part of a rollout cluster
  • Drive synergies and reuse across rollouts using an industrialized rollout framework
  • Track progress, proactively manage dependencies, risks, and issues, and ensure timely resolution

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage effectively with business users, IT teams, external partners, and executive stakeholders
  • Manage expectations and provide clear, regular status reporting throughout the rollout lifecycle

SAP & Delivery LeadershipSAP S/4HANA & Methodology

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Line of Business solutions, and rollout best practices
  • Practical experience with SAP Activate, SAP Rise with SAP, Validated Partner Methodology, SAFe Agile methodology etc.
  • Solid understanding of Clean Core principles and Cloud mindset Template Enforcement & Fit-to-Template
  • Plan and lead Fit-to-Template workshops
  • Establish local business process baselines
  • Drive early agreement on legal and local deviations
  • Work with solution governance bodies to control and minimize template deviations

Delivery Track Responsibilities (Based on Core Strength)Data Migration (if applicable)

  • Define and execute an industrialized migration approach
  • Coordinate legacy data cleansing, extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Orchestrate migration activities across solution, testing, and deployment streams
  • Experience with tools such as SNP, Syniti, or similar is expected

Test Management (if applicable)

  • Own rollout test strategy, integration testing, and UAT cycles
  • Deploy testing accelerators to enable industrialization
  • Manage testing capacity across customer and provider teams

Cutover Management (if applicable)

  • Lead cutover planning, rehearsals, and production cutovers
  • Demonstrate situational leadership during high-pressure go-live phases
  • Coordinate business, IT, and partner activities during go-live windows

AMS Delivery (if applicable)

  • Lead transition from project to AMS
  • Drive stabilization, hypercare, and steady-state operations
  • Ensure clear handover, SLAs, and governance for post-go-live support

Organizational Change Management

  • Good understanding of OCM frameworks, activities, RACIs, and deliverables
  • Coordinate closely with OCM leads to ensure business readiness and adoption

Experience Requirements

  • 15+ years of overall project / delivery management experience, preferably in SAP environments
  • Experience leading smaller to mid-sized programs or rollout waves
  • Strong experience managing one or more rollout delivery tracks (Test, Cutover, Migration, AMS)
  • Experience running structured SAP process or Fit-to-Template workshops
  • Local European language proficiency (B1 level) preferred
  • Readiness for travel

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Working knowledge of project management tools and Microsoft Office
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
